The gist of what I got from your comment is, that you feel Romney is being treated unfairly by the leftist-media, and everything he does is legal. Of course all he has to do is release the returns and everyone wins. Except Reid and all those who believe that Mittens avoided taxes for at least a year or two. They lose big time.

But the Merkan People would get to see what a great upstanding guy Mittens is and Mittens gets a big ol' club with which to beat his enemies and Reid goes into political hibernation. It's all good except Mittens won't do it. Hmmmm.... Even honest principled Rethugs, which would exclude pretty much all the Rethugs here except one or two maybe, are calling for Mittens to do the full disclosure. But nope. Not gonna do it. So the Merkan People will just draw their own conclusions.

 

Has to be a forgery. Getting documentation like this is piece of cake if you have bucks. Given Romney's background he needs to prove that he, a) isn't a Mexican and that he, b) has only one wife. The fact that he hasn't done this is highly suspicious.

Sure, your source is some figment of Harry Reid's imagination who he claims has some first hand knowledge of Romney's personal tax returns over the past 10 years because of a supposed connection to the company for whom they both worked over ten years ago. Does that just about 'slpain it to you?
By the way, the lib leadership did pretty good on this one. They had Reid throw it out there & get the kool-aid drinkers in the field all worked up. Since then the lib leaders have distanced themselves from the non-story but you fools are still lathered up and talking about it. I guess you weren't overestimated, were you?

Problem is, A Reid downfall is really meaningless to the election even if he is a complete liar and made it all up. He could be caught with a dead hooker in the trunk of his car tomorrow and the numbers for the Presidential Race probably wouldn't budge.

I figure that there is probably (most certainly) something in Romney's taxes that his campaign thinks is politically damaging or can be used against him. Something that will not play well with the public or in 30 second tv sound bites.

That doesn't mean he paid zero taxes (even for a year or two) or that he did something illegal. Heck, he probably paid more in taxes just in 2010 than most people will make in a lifetime, let alone ever pay in taxes.

But that doesn't mean whatever might be is in his taxes can't or won't be used against him in an election. He's a really, really rich guy (that's even worse than being a 5%er ) and whatever is in his taxes will probably highlight that even more than it already is.

So, really, it is probably a lose/lose for Romney even if every year is like 2010 and he paid multiple times the rate and hundreds, if not thousands, of times the amount that the vast majority of voters did.
