Islam is winning this war if no one has noticed. This jihad had started with Muhammad and all this talk of it can't happen here has happen in the Eastern Roman Empire, um Turkey today. Has happened in the Balkens, Has happened in the middle east, in Africa, in Europe, in Asia. Just look at your maps. All those muslim nations were not muslim not to long ago. Remember the Budda's being blown up in Afghanistan. Well
Afghanistan used to be a buddist area. the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan used to be part of Hindu India. It just goes on and on....

When the going got tough, the USSR resorted to non-traditional forms of fighting, including sending women into combat, and partisans. The partisans softened the Germans up behind the lines and then the regulars moved in afterwards.

Traditional forms of military experience do not measure up against non traditional forms in the right circumstances. I recommend thus for you to read up on why the USA, the most powerful country in the world suffered in Viet-Nam.

Muslims have simply been tollerated in this age of political correctness.

The USSR smashed the Germans, Romanians, and assorted Nazi simpathizers with brute force. The Soviets and Germans were involved in a death-match. The partisans fought the Russians as much as they fought the Germans. There were nationalistic partisans, like Stefan Bandera, that were active into the 1950s. When a modern nation decides to smash the Muslim fanatics, they will be smashed. Presently, it seems as though western Europe is more or less playing kissy-face with them.

The United States won on the battlefields of Vietnam and lost on the homefront due to the same forces operating against G.W. Bush today. Plus, the Vietnamese were strongly supported by the Soviet Union and communist China. Besides, the Vietnamese were tough. The Arabs are not.

At some point, the retribution switch will be turned on, and all hell will break loose. Osama is just a coyote urinating up-wind.

 

I feel that the world is losing the war with Islam but I think you are right Quickdog, in the end no matter how many people they kill, they will lose.

 

I am convinced that there are millions of very tough and capable men in the western world that have yet to say much or respond. These Muslims are a bit like the little "tough" guy that goes into a bar and shoots his mouth off. It is just a matter of time before somebody, other than G.W. Bush, will stand up and sort things out.

Just another hypothetical question for you to ponder to further illustrate my position.

Do any of you guys plan to sit quietly in your seat, locked in mortal fear, if a a few 155 pound Arab boys threatens to kill you with box-knives. Do you think there will be any more Arabs take-over planes in the USA anytime soon? Has a smoldering hostile attitude been established amongst the ranks of common Americans? I think so. Expand that thought by 300,000,000 and tell me that fanatic Muslims are taking over the world. It is a laughable concept.

 

Remember back in Sept 2001, one of the first planes that left the USA after air traffic was re-established was a planeload of Saudis being flown back to Saudi Arabia for their "safety"?

The problem is the USA props up the very government in the Muslim world that funds these radical elements, and pays them to stay out of Saudi Arabia.

 

Right after 9/11 the USA should have vaporised these Talibs and Al Qaeda, the world would have understood the need at that point. In five years from now, there will be a hostile government in power in Iraq and in Afghanistan, coupled with a long time hostile govt. in Iran and you have a whole region in turmoil.

 

It's certainly possible, but I hope not. I tend to be an optomist, so I shall keep the faith.
