No. The show has established that she time travelled off of the plane, avoiding the crash.

In which episode was it first established that Livia had time traveled off of the plane to a point in time other then the year in which the plane crashed? Until a few weeks ago, I had thought that Livia was a native if the 1990s who time jumped off the plane, then later jumped back to 1998, but couldn't contact Dan because Dan thought she was dead! I then thought that Livia would then have established a new Dan-less life in 1998 and continued on until 2007, when she started joining Dan on his time jumps.

Apparently not. Yet another twist...

We've never seen a "journey" from position A to B without a change of time, so I can't buy your theory. We know from the very first episode in which Dan encounters her during his journey that she was saved due to a time jump. And we know her theory from the most recent episode that she tracked Dan so he'd by so devasted by her "death" that he'd marry Katie and have Zach, which contributes to my theory that the kid is fated to be a time jumper too. >Until a few weeks ago, I had thought that Livia was a native if the >1990s who time jumped off the plane, then later jumped back to 1998, but >couldn't contact Dan because Dan thought she was dead! We know that she was "stuck" in the future only during the relationship with Dan, but she did comment that once she jumped off the plane, she resumed jumping. At that point, she had achieved her mission. In Livia's time line, we don't know how long it had been since she'd seen Dan. My original theory was that she was from Dan's future, not the past, so it looks like we were both wrong. I have no theory on why Dan refused to ask her any questions during the show's early episodes, other than bad writing. It was so illogical that it drove me nuts. The show got better after they started answering basic questions.

At that point, she had achieved her mission. One thing we have to ask is, what was her mission. If she was supposed to have died on the plane crash, and it is known that she boarded the plane, why did her leap happen then, and not at some other point in place closer to Dan. Usually the jumps that Dan has done, he leaps pretty soon or close to the person he is supposed to help. -- "... respect, all good works are not done by only good folk. Yet another twist... Another idea I had was that Livia's home time might be in the 1980s or 1990s. I had not expected her to be from clear back in 1948!
