Well, in this day and age, I guess even *I'm* an oldbie. But you don't
see me acting like won, do you?

PS: You're crossposting. And reminder: please make sure to denote
"off-topic" posts with the proper threadmarker, and remember to keep
your "sig" fewer than four lines. These things, for some reason, are
    important to me.

So, anyway. Would you like me to come over some time? Hmmm?? We could

Great. It's a date then. So, tomorrow morning, when you get up to go
shopping at 5:00, remember to pick up some pumkin pie mix, and custard
(whatever that is) ingredients, and I'll be over some time around noon.
I can't wait to smell that fresh pie baking (and to see that "twinkle"
you get whenever you watch a "growing boy" enjoying the fruits of your
labour). GREAT. THIS WILL BE GREAT!!!!!

Hey. Ho. Woah... Let's assess this, now. I may be dumn, but I like
to think I know a thing or too about agriculture. I thought that, like,
this time of year, the only option for pumkin pie was pumkin pie "mix."
Am I wrong? I mean, it's flattering that you want to make me pie from
"scratch," but as far as I know, they ain't no pumkins around, come
December. Am I wrong? I mean, am I wrong? If that is not the case,
then I defer to your (obviously) superior knowledge on the subject.
Please, whatever it takes, ma'am. I am desperate. If you cannot tell,
I am crying right now (can you honestly resist that, hmm?).

    *hands you kleenex*

Yes, I can resist. And, FYI, pumpkins are available through December because
they keep for a very long time.

However, now being the season for forgiveness and such, I will email you a
    fresh, made-from-scratch pumpkin pie.

Oh, good. I was wondering how long it would be until I received a
sarcastic jab in answer to tearful, desparate plea, during this, the
    "Season for forgiveness."
