    I guess I need to read the law. The news articles have been vague and contradicting and the article on the decision made the court look the same.

    I don't know why anyone outside of Chicago would care about this issue. It really doesn't concern you or me for that matter. I live closer to Chicago than just about any of you and I couldn't care less about who gets to run the city next. It's going to be a Democrat, he is going to be white, and nothing is going to change. They say that New York is owned by the Jews, Miami is owned by the Cubans, and Chicago is owned by the unions. How is whoever gets elected next really going to affect you? My guess is not at all but you'd never guess that from all the carping.

    How interesting. You don't care about any crime in this country unless it is in your back yard. Well, ............

    Personally I love the fact that Rahm will be the mayor. It will just give us one more Dim joke...following in the footsteps of other distinguished Dims in a position of authority such as Biden, Pelosi, Blago, Spitzer, Grayson, Stuart Smalley and so on and so on and so on....

    It's an election, not a criminal investigation. What crime are you referring to?

    Unless I miss my guess, the mayor is in charge of the police department, fire department, et al - if not directly, at least indirectly. So, yes, I care who the mayor is.

    A Mayor is in charge of a lot of things, I still fail to see what crime you are talking about. You said that I, "don't care about any crime in this country unless it is in your back yard." What crime?

    Come on, Moen, give us a break! We're talking about that shining city on a hill, Chicago! She's a lovely lady and we care for her and don't want anything bad to happen to her! She's America's sweetheart city!

    Chicago.. Chicago.. that's my kind of town..

    But Bush was actually LIVING in Texas when he ran for President. If you wanted to mock the residency waltzes that went on in the 2000 election (and there were many, on both sides), taking a shot at Cheney would have been much easier. Did he live in Texas (which would have made him Constitutionally ineligible to be Bush's running mate) or Wyoming?

    Laws are only there for the people that can't afford to buy their way out. Cash dictates, and cash will do whatever it likes. Bush and most especially, Cheney, are criminals on so many different levels that it really doesn't matter what actually happened in their specific cases. They taught us all that wealth is all that matters. Laws, rules, are really irrelevant nowadays anyway, so, the point really is moot.

    Bush & Cheney's wealth matters to who? It must be the Dims in charge that it matters too, huh? They sure haven't taken any steps to prosecute them for anything. So what gives?
    Furthermore, if cash was all that mattered why didn't Ted Kennedy, John Kerry or John Edwards ever become president? These guys are among the richest people in the world. We know BO's rise was all part of political deals at the expense of Hillary but cash wasn't enough to get those others elected (even though it does seem like it's been enough to get them out of trouble now that I think about it).

    Did you notice that everything I said was 100% correct? Did you also notice that while the states around us are trying to break unions, we have no such issues?

    100% correct? Uhm!!!! I will refrain for the moment.

    You have no such issues? Really? How about you have not woken up to see that you have the problem. Illinois happens to have the largest unfunded pension liability in the nation. Do you really think that came from your welfare lists? And they do not have as many people as California to help pay it. I know you like references (even though you don't use them), so;

    You're like the Amazing Kreskin! Truth be told, once Rahmbo was back on the ballot, a blind bat could see that he was going to be elected. No surprise there.
