Yes, like it or not, it is a part of world history and will never go away. I totally agree. Many people just don't seem to understand this.
whether you would believe it or not, the swastika was a good luck charm. the Nazi party was started with malicious intentions, true, but also, having studied this in depth when i did my family tree, i noticed some good historical points: - Hitler did the first genetic engineering - Hitler was the first to selectively breed humans - The NAZI party was and is our history. We can't or won't change that. Done. The Nazi party's medals and guns and symbols and such are a reminder of the hatred once bred. I am german, but my ancestors from Germany were horrified at the unconditional hatred of the Jews. ( don't call the Jews the Jewish Race either !! :goofer: ) My ancestors were Upper middle class, and they hated Hitler for his discrimination. So, in my opinion, i say we should close this thread and forget it. Nazi coinage and memorabilia are a collector's piece of history, and should be left and granted that way. The whites do not whine (and yes, whine is what they're doing about Nazi things) about past punishing and discrimination, Why should anyone whine about this?
I take it you mean that the countries overrun by Hitler?? but I am not sure what you mean by dont complain!! as I am yet to find one of them that had a good word to say about the Nazis occupation. You go talk to the Russians, Poles, Checzs, Dutch, French, Yugoslavs etc etc De Orc
i didnt say they were happy about it, i said they weren't whining around about it. they don't commonly go on the internet etc and complain loudly about the selling of nazi products.
People could buy coins from the roman empire when the roman empire has done evil things. But the roman empire no longer exists as we know of it. People could buy nazi coins but nazi's still exists and those people who are nazi's who are buying those items are akin to me as buying devil worship tokens. That is what bugs me the most about those internet sales. Not the common person who is thinking of World War II etc but the person who is getting off on all of the death and dreaming of more. If you get my drift.
If you are saying then that the Jewish Comunity or any other that suffered Persecution & Death should refrain from complaining when they see symbols of a regiem that slaughterd Millions of there fellow believers & Coubtrymen been sold openly then I think you must be living in La La land. I might not agree with the banning of such items but I certainly do believe that others have the right to complain about them, in the same way I would not object to someone complaining about Klan memrobilia been for sale. De Orc
The swastika in an of itself actually goes back to ancient times. I believe the arms were symbolic of the sun's rays. This symbol has been around for quite some time. I don't see it as "whining" considering the fact that antisemitism still rears its ugly head and poses a threat. Granted we can't change history but we can make sure this type of thing never happens again. Just my opinion.
I have a better analogy for everyone. Communism killed up to 100 million people before, during, and after WWII. Yet you don’t see outcries fir selling USSR coins, stamps, medals, whatever. There are still communists today, in power and otherwise. Also, you don’t see people getting jailed for denying Stalin had concentration camps that killed millions. Regarding people buying Nazi materials for “worship”, again, it is one’s right. Last I checked it’s not a crime to “dream” of things nor is it a crime to buy something on the net (whatever it is) as a “relic” to worship. You may not like a topic one “dreams” or “worships” but it is his/her fundamental right, no matter what undemocratic laws say. Now if this person (regardless of what he/she worships or dreams) commits a murder or whatever, then this person should be jailed. But that’s a whole different topic. In other news, here’s an activist that got arrested: http://www.ceskenoviny.cz/news/index_view.php?id=159879 This is in a "democracy"
I always wondered if alot of neo-nazis liked to buy the upside down pink triangle. I heard alot of the SA leadership were homosexual. Makes one wonder why Hitler "turned" on his once good pals.
Have you everwonderd why these Laws exist? well if not then how about this for a very short reason 'We are Scared ****less that these evil *******s will rise to power again' These Laws serve to remind us all of what happend. De Orc :smile

In other news, here’s an activist that got arrested: This is in a "democracy" You have not taken something into consideration. In a number of European countries such as France, the Czech Republic, or Poland, these were countries that directly suffered under the Nazi regime. These were countries directly forced to deport Jews to the death camps when their governments were taken over by the Third Reich. This never happened in the US. Under these circumstances restrictions that would be considered unconstitutional in the US would seem perfectly appropriate for countries like Germany or France.
Countries like Holland, Britain and Denmark suffered under the Nazi regime, yet these anti free speech laws don’t exist there (at least not in theory). Also, Germany and many other nations suffered under the communist regime not for a couple of years but for DECADES. Most of these nations don’t have anti communist laws (though Hungary actually does). In fact, you have red army MEMORIALS in most of these nations that suffered under the communist regime for decades. You can even argue that the USA suffered due to the Nazi and communist regimes. But none are banned there thanks to the first amendment (which by the way is being taken away bit by bit every day). And after 9/11 images of Al-Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden are not illegal in the USA. For example, if I went to a mall and wore a shirt of Osama Bin Laden it’s 100% legal. I might be escorted out by mall security but the police would have absolutely no case to press charges. And if a cop DID press charges for wearing a Bin Laden shirt (or a Nazi shirt, or anything else) it would more likely be his ass on the line not mine.
Since we are talking about the nazi's, I always wondered why Hitler had no kids. He was not a teenager when he died right. What was he around 56 years old I would think. Why didn't he have any kids. Didn't he push the German people to spawn blond hair blue eye boys to increase the Aryan population. And wasn't he always hanging around the Hitler youth, encouraging them to exercise and admiring the boys in their tight uniforms as they marched past his extended salute. So I would think that Hitler liked children and most likely wanted a boy or two in his house. So why didn't he have any children of his own?

Cool link. I love WWII history. I've read everything I could find about the nazis. They was some majorly twisted folks.
