I'm not sure he does. But I think he brings an "I could have a beer with him" energy that hasn't been effectively weaponized since dubya. He's kind of the anti-Vance, and I can't wait to see them debate. The GOP has gone full into culture war, and Vance is a poster boy for that. It was Walz who originated "weird" by responding to culture war whining with (paraphrase): "mind your own business and build a bridge" I also appreciate that he's made many huge progressive moves in Minnesota with a razor thin majority,
I worked full time at several jobs for 6 of those years. You don't get to gatekeep being "from" somewhere.
I would find having a beer with Fidel Castro more interesting than having a beer with Walz. Plus, there's not quite as much "communist vibe" from Fidel.
lol okay. Y'all have said this about every Dem for so long I'm convinced if George Washington were resurrected and put on the ticket you'd call him a communist.
Sorry, I forgot that your pappy, in this very forum, was adamant that he could pick his own cultural heritage as well. I'm sure in different settings or discussions, you're "from" California or Illinois. In reading a lot of your posts in here, I'm of the opinion you're "from" a different planet.
Affability, my arse! Them libs can't spell . . . keep messin' up their AFLs . . . Walz'in & Fallin' are two different things. Walz'in & fallability . . . those are one and the same.
Ok…. He’s a far left socialist supported by The Bernie . Not surprising that you love this pick. His record will not sit well with the middle class. Yes, he supported the burning of Minnesota cities, defund the police, and Kamala’s fund raising money to release the very few criminals that got arrested. Typically a VP makes little difference in a presidential campaign, but this pick is a blessing for republicans.
It's doubtful that anyone will get familiar with him since the election is only a few months away. Most of America has no clue who he is and probably couldn't care less. After the election, he will go back to Minnesota and become a footnote in history. For that matter, most of America doesn't know who Kamaltoe is and even fewer care about her. She too will feel what it's like to be a footnote.
See, this is why I like him, I think this is a winning message. It's so inverse to the ridiculous and exhausting culture war stuff the GOP is drowning itself in.
Speaking of neighbors - “Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values,” he said. “One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.” Tim Walz said this LAST WEEK.
No, this is why you like him: "Don't ever shy away from our progressive values. One person's socialism is another person's neighborliness," Walz said. Culture war? That’s why the democrats are running away from Jewish VP candidate because they want to appease the antisemitic crowd in YOUR party.
Yes, referring to making school lunches free for children at school... How could you not support that?
Are you? Walz was famously hard on the protestors in mobilizing the national guard. He's never been a "defund the police" guy.
Why in the hell do we to make school lunches free? Rich folks have kids, do they need a free meal? The poor are already on free meals.
