I say have even more debates so that even Republicans understand the shipwreck they are going to have to manage if they decide to vote for one of these clunkers.

    More Debates! More Debates!

Except for the Donald of course, I guess his little 15 minutes are so over.

Poll: Republicans shrug at Romney's business past
    Press-GfK poll finds:
Republicans are evenly divided on whether a Washington insider or outsider is best-suited to be president. That's a problem for Romney, who cites his private-sector experience as the biggest difference between the two front-runners for the GOP nomination.

The poll also found a significant drop in satisfaction with the overall field of Republicans vying to challenge President Barack Obama next year. In October, 66 percent of Republican adults were satisfied with the field, and 29 percent unsatisfied. Now, 56 percent are satisfied and 40 percent unsatisfied.

I wonder if BO had been as open, as this group of Republicans has been, would the election results have been different?
After all, BO was selected without anyone really knowing anything about him (and some of the stuff he told us about himself has turned out to be untrue). Hmmmm.....

I'll give Obama credit for one thing: He's a good Community Organizer. That was his profession before being selected to the Senate. He certainly did a good job organizing the communists.. er.. communities of lemmings and dimwits in 2008.

I'll go you one further- not only did he organize the lemmings & dimwits in '08 he has managed to keep some on his side despite being the worst pres we've ever had. Now that's an accomplishment!!

Interesting how bringing up Republicans as a topic automatically, predictably inspires a conversation about Obama. Hiding much? I think you guys will do anything to not talk about your own situation on the fringe far Right which says to me that you know exactly how dismal your choices really are in 2012. Sometimes it is what we won't say or won't talk about that says the most about us. You two and rlm of course are running scared from your own miserable choices to such a degree that you can't abide a conversation about it. Thanks for confirming the conclusion that many RW'ers are finally coming to and that this poll reaffirms. And you guys are even out of step with your own party. Ha ha ha! That's a good thing. Now start practicing pinching your nose and pulling a lever. You know it is coming. :D

Well guy's if such a Unknown, a simple community organizer can do so much damage to the Republican machine as President Obama did at the last Presidential election then you had best pray that the Democrats do not get a well known National organizer running for that office
Have any of you actually stopped for a moment to ask yourself how come he won? how he managed to poll higher than your well known candidate?
You paint this guy as some kind of clown/Non entity, well if that was the case what did it say about the best the Republicans had to face him with?

And, let's be honest here... a significant amount of people Republicans will vote for whoever the candidate is, whether they like him/her or not. How many will abstain is unclear... but it's safe to say a significant amount of Republicans people will not like the eventual winner candidate.

    Romneyyyyyyy.... Rommmmmmmneyyyyyyyy... (laughs maniacally)

All good questions Steve. Don't hold your breath for an answer. These are questions that bring on the same type on monotone repetitive mumbling you hear from zombies...Brain, Brain, Brain!
Except that they say ….Obama, Obama, Obama!

The republican field does look weak to me. I am not sure a good republican will ever run because they get crucified by the media. I know there are a lot of good people out there that will never run because of what the media will dig up on them. Everyone has done something wrong in their lives and the media seems to concentrate on those areas instead of the areas that people excel or do good in.

The last 4 or so years of Bush probably helped the most. So did raising and spending $500 Million dollars more than the competition.

That a guy in his 70ies with an unqualified running mate were the scarier alternative.

I think 2012 will swing more on how the center, independent voters feel about the choice they made the last time and where the country has gone since then rather than whether the Republican nominee ends up being Romney or Newt. I think it will be a close one.

The Republican position seems to be that any one of the current lot of nutters and freaks hoping for the nomination on their side would be better than Obama. The Democrats, for their part, rely heavily on the same argument, just in reverse. To say that you need to vote for us because we're not as bad as the other guys is hardly a stirring call to action. But it does make sense when all either party has to offer is the same crap served up in different ways.

I don't think Romney can be considered a nut or a freak...unless you are a bible thumping member of the Fundamentalist Religious Right. Unfortunately for Romney, the Fundamentalist Religious Right is a big part of the base and the base matters a lot in the primary season.

Not with me you won't. If I'm wrong, there's no way I could pay ...and after everything you've been saying about cooking... you may be good with knives!

The Cons do not have to worry about the base. If someone throws an R behind some guys name, they'll vote for him. It is the independents that they have to impress with their current offerings. I just don't think that anyone of those options is going to impress enough independents to put a W in their column come 2012. The Dems will show up because Bush is too fresh in their minds at this point. Did you ever notice how you never hear the expression, "I am a Bush Republican". Yeah, kind of still makes you throw up a little in your mouth just to read.

Now, Moen... You know with a comment like that, someone is going to counter it with "Strange, but you never hear anyone referring to themselves as an Obama Democrat". Sure, we've heard people refer to themselves as Truman Democrats or Kennedy Democrats, but I think they're ashamed to call themselves Obama Democrats. Or, for that matter, Carter Democrats, Johnson Democrats or even Clinton Democrats. Hell, these days people are ashamed to refer to themselves as Democrats at all...!!! But, I can't blame them, can you?

We'll see when he actually leaves office. Little premature at this point. People try to paint themselves as Reagan-ites only because of the myths that have been created around him. He really kind of sucked.
