Jack I sat and watched the debate (twice) with the ex secs and the question referd to what they would advise the new president to do, Obama did not get kissinger wrong, they all agreed that was the thing to do.
Yep it was after that Stu but there again he is entitled to add to a position, if he hears something that makes sence to him :D after all his basic position remains the same, if not then you are saying that McCain cant do it either LOL.

Now lets turn this around slightly then
So McCain is saying to the leaders in Iran, Venezuala, Cuba, N Korea etc. Yes we will hold presidential talks with you but ONLY IF YOU DO EXACTLY AS WE TELL YOU FIRST :D do you honestly believe this is diplomacy? Hell McCain said he woudnt even sit down with the President of SPAIN and he is one of your NATO allies, do you realy want a leader who dont even speak to his ALLIES LOL

Come on guys, any one can make a statement out to have two meanings, all the way through this campaign I have seen there words taken and used well and truely out of context

OK here we go LOL bit of a demonstration of what I meant in the above post :D

McCain says it is OK for American troops to stay in Iraq for a Hundred years if needs be!!

Thats the spin here is what he meant

McCain says Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran
Thats the spin here is what he meant

Now for some McCain flip flops

    Now on to Kissinger

From that you will see he does think talks should be held at very high levals without precondition, laying out what the US aims are (This is not precondition)

Realy listen to this one it is very interesting what Powel says

Our nation is in sad shape and is being manipulated by petro dollars and left wing liberal ideology which petro dollars will support for it is bringing down the United States. I believed that McCain was a great man but over the years he was slowly compromised, I think Obama actually hates this nation and has stated in his own books he does not like white people or this nation in so many ways, just read the books, and identifies with radical black ideology and non western muslims more then anything else.

Which leaves me with Palin who represents the only hope this nation has. A real citizen, in a way she is the third party candidate and lets hope that if she has the chance to be her own person,President vs Vice, then she will stay with what she is in her core.

Of course, they are able to flip flop when the heat gets turned up. Both do it. However, for Sen Biden to say Sen Obama never said it is ignorance at best and deception at worst.

Our main problem as an electorate is that we accept this stuff without question and without calling them out on it or we just rationalize it away. We have set our standards so low that even these 2 teams meet the bar. And when they don't, we just lower the bar for them.

Exactly in the same way it was wrong for Gov palin to say that McCain never voted against funding for the troops LOL

Probably so. I haven't looked into it. But you won't get me to defend either one doing it nor will I say it is ok for one to do it because the other one does.

I will say this, though, either side talking about what one voted for or voted against on anything is dumb. The bills that go through Congress are so loaded with taxpayer funded bribes (aka 'earmarks', 'pork', whatever the euphemism is for it) and irrelevant riders that is is totally impossible to say what someone is voting for or against.

Look at the bailout bill. Until the bribes were inserted, it failed. After enough were added, it passed.

Yep Jack the ones who ran as far and fast as they could to Afghanistan :D

Link to troops currently in Afghanistan

    http://www.nato.int/isaf/docu/epub/pdf/isaf_placemat_081001.pdf

Same as I have heard time and time again about the cowardly French or the Canadiens who woudnt support us in Iraq? Yet they are in Afghanistan as well along with the Germans and a host of other nations.
Public opinion in Spain was against the Iraq war from the start, that is one of the reasons the last goverment lost the election but they agree that Afghanistan is the home of the terrorists so are there.

Were did the attack on the USA originate Jack? Iraq or Afghanistan, were are Al Queda better established, Iraq or Afghanistan?
Were does your own inteligence tell you the main threat to America is based, well thats a easy one Afghanistan.
Now which theater gets the least when it comes to supplies/money or troops.
