Jim Miklaszewski the chief Pentagon correspondent for NBC News said that whenever we’ve had these military operations go down, the first reports are almost always wildly inaccurate. He said on the first day this story broke that we’d learn more as time went on but to take the initial reports with a grain of salt. I'm paraphrasing his words but you can look up his report.
In this day and age of get the story first instant access, early reporting is often inaccurate even for stateside events. News outlets seem to much rather be first than right. Add in a secret military operation half way around the globe and politics that want to get the word out as quickly as possible about a big victory and it makes it even worse.
I still fail to see why they couldn't show photos of him. They displayed gory photos of strangers in pools of blood. But not the one everybody wanted to see. To me, it's almost as if they didn't show them out of respect for our adversary! There was no reason not to. The terrorists are already enraged. I don't believe this to be a conspiracy. I didn't get to see a photo of it and again, another instance where I wouldn't bet my life on it as being fact. It's not THAT much of a given to me. But I'm relatively confident that something happened and he was either killed or captured. Too much risk of him showing up in a modern video with proof of still being alive. I just don't think they would be willing to risk that without having proof. Him freely showing up again in another country would be something they had no control over. If he would have been killed years ago, I find it hard to believe Bush wouldn't have wanted to take credit for it. This is one instance where I'll take a known liars word for it.
I'd like to know why the Right wing want to provide Al Qaeda with as many recruiting tools as they can think of? It seems at every turn, the Republican choice is to inflame people that probably would pay either the U.S. or Al Qaeda an iota of attention until something as horrific as Muslims blown apart surfaces in the media. How can showing the picture decrease tensions between Muslims and the West? It can't but lets trot it out for the media just to see if we can drive some Arab kid over into Al Qaeda's hands. I know the military contractors make money hand over fist whenever there is world conflict and I know they love Republicans for giving them so much business but what the heck, let's try peace for a while before we gear up for WWIII.
When is the muslim world not enraged? That's their normal state. Most of them hated OBL anyway. Only Al-Queda and the fringe would have cared. You think they're less angry that we admitted to just dumping his body at sea off an American ship? They're already angry. I don't see what difference it could have made.
Right! Lets paint the entire Muslim population as a bunch of enraged killers to justify our own need to chest beat. I'm not worried about what most of them think, just like in this country, it only takes a few well-placed images, words, or deeds to set the ones off that are on the edge anyway. They have low information desperate people just like we do. It just seems sometimes that it is a race between their crazies and our crazies to see who can set off more of these fringe elements and I have to believe that the less graphic images floating around out there has to translate into less fuel for both sides.
So it's like proving a republican to be a criminal? We know they are but can't always prove it? Funny thing about truth seriously...is that it doesn't change and doesn't have to be "remembered". (unless of course you have the money to purchase whatever truth it is you're looking for).
1. I used to use the word "Feds" to represent those people. In my opinion, presidents is only a puppet, whatever party they belong to. The real ruler are the rich people of big Co-operations and firms, and so said Military-Industrial Complex, I don't know their name. Also the high ranking officials of the Pentagon of the Intelligence. (D.O.D. and D.O.J. and CIA). 2. You may realize it by the following articles. (1) This is a totalitarian country. The insiders rule. President is only a puppet. When intelligence want to play a show of "kill Bin Laden", the puppet was informed to join the play like an actor. Quote, “ (2) 665. Obama faces extortion (4/18/2011) Today the Feds have occupied the high ranking of government office. They manipulate the politicians to squeeze money and power through false flag terror attacks and war. They used to set up a plot, then let the President sign it so they would not have to take any responsibility. The president becomes an important role in their plot. Here are the cases: 1. According to the article “CIA spy captured giving nuclear bomb to terrorists”, President Kennedy was assassinated because he rejected the Cuba war plan “Operation Northwoods”. 2. President Clinton was seriously humiliated by “Lewinsky scandal” because he didn’t approve the request of “war on Iraq” proposed by the Neo-con group. 3. G.W.Bush was awarded the post of President(2001-2004) for the promising of Iraq war. (In a controversial election “Bush vs. Al Gore” with the background that Clinton finished his term with splendid economic achievement- an unprecedented budget surplus) G.W.Bush also was rewarded with second term of President (2005-2008) for the promising of Iran war. (At the background that he activated Iraq war with a big lie (WMD)) The plot signaled with the event of a B-52 loaded with nuclear missiles flied over US continent. The plot was failed to go through. 4. Now President Obama faces the Iran war deal. He is under extortion: a puppet of the Feds – Donald Trump is waging a propaganda war – Birthers’ movement. The purpose is clear: either you approve the war on Iran or you lose the chance of second term. What I worry is worse: Obama may be sacrificed for Iran war. Iran war needs big justification. Nothing is bigger than the assassination of the President. They killed President Kennedy. So what for the Feds to kill another one?
Have you ever considered just ending it all. I think I have Kevorkian's number around here somewhere.
You probably do too. That an 800 number? I might need it if a republican ever regains the White House.
I know you probably meant this as a joke, and that you could care less about anything I say, but that's harsh... you really shouldn't suggest suicide to anyone. Period.
If I didn't think that Tom would understand that it was a joke, I would not have said it. And while he may be cuckoo for cocao puffs, one thing he is not is fragile. However, you were exactly right about the fact that I don't care about anything you say. Note to self, suggest to IQless1 to committ suicide in the near future.
