I'm cool with a public safety net. We already have a safety net but it is inefficient and costly (Emergency Rooms). And I am sure that safety net could be reformed to be better and less wasteful.

The whole public 'option' talk is what I don't like. You should not be able to take a government 'option' if your company offers healthcare. And, if you are a business, you should not have the 'option' to pay a small fine and not offer healthcare.

Make businesses pay a $100k per year fine for every employee not offered health insurance and make an individual pay $100k per year for the government option if their business already offers health insurance.

I don't think so. The broad term 'public option' most likely has around 10 different definitions by now. You probably read into that statement and thought O'Reilly was saying he was for Obama's health plan.

I took from it what he meant and was not surprised as he has always supported the blue collar people.

Yea. Him and his blue collar background and all. His father being a lawyer certainly qualifies as blue collar. And growing up in Syosset, a town of upper middle class homes, and not Levittown, where he claims to have lived, no doubt make for a working man background.

Sounds like Craig has a case of class envy. Pity pity, wow amazing in this day and age, we attack others for their accomplishments. I thought acomplishment was a goal? Some must think not a goal, but something to be quanitified I guess. Something used to discredit, something to attack.

I think we should help the public and the downtrodden, but lets do it in a way that keeps corrupt government out of it.

It is not class envy, he was calling the guy out on an outright lie.

    Jack,
Accomplishment is something that has been moved from a goal to a vilified target since Barackism began it's strangle hold on our country (and minds of some). The conservative plank of lifting all up, to the level they wish to attain, has evolved into making everyone equal, at the expense of the achievers, under Barackism.

You missed the point, reptile. He is the one who claimed his is from a working class nieghborhood. A lawyer is not a blue collar job. Get it now? I'm not the one pretending my parents were lower middle class. See? I wasnt denigrating his success. Just his BS. Clear enough for ya?

And you dont know my background, little man. Jeez, you must really be in love with celebrity and TV personalities. You always get so tiffy when they are criticized. Whos the one with envy? Now go ahead shoot back with some crud. I say what I feel about some faker on TV and you go nuts like its your father I'm talking about. Then I defend myself against your aspersions, and now you'll respond like some publicity agent.

DeOrc, I am in no way against Obama for success.....you miss the point. I am against him because of his belief's and policys.

It is not black vs white, it is left vs right. He is a far radical lefty, something that I know you admire. We just have different fundamental belief's.

Craig if I misunderstood the meaning of your post, I apologise.
