OPEC slashes production; crude continues to tumble

    VIENNA, Austria (AP) -- OPEC said at an emergency meeting Friday that it will slash oil production by 1.5 million barrels to stem the "dramatic collapse" of oil prices, but crude prices plunged 7 percent anyway as financial markets spiraled downward across the globe....

    Actually this is a bad thing. If supply is dropped, prices continue to fall, and demand continues to go down at a faster rate, that means people still can't afford to buy gas. Hardest hit are the east and west coasts. I'm glad I live in the midwest. My family has plenty of land to grow food and hunt.
