On Patrol Live, #1 Program

Before the BLM made our public safety officers out of fashion, there was a program every Friday and Saturday night called Live PD. It was an interesting and highly rated program. On Friday and Saturday nights camera crews would ride shotgun with policemen across the nation while we all viewed law and order in real time. The program had more action than a Monday Night Football game and it was a joy watching hoodlums being taken off the street.

Then the BLM foolishness took place and in the name of “sensitivity” the program was taken off the air….. Last weekend a different network had the courage to put the program back on the air and rebrand it as “On Patrol Live”. Friday was the opening night and viewership was so great on so many platforms that the network crashed. Once they got things back up and running, On Patrol Live was the most watched television program of the weekend by a landslide. Heck, it even beat the January 6th hearings….. It does my heart good to know that the vast majority of my fellow Americans appreciate law and order.

How many programs involved the police murdering unarmed black men? Just curious because every other night on the national news, that seems to be all you see.

Are you thinking that you just might be being played by a modern made for TV propaganda show? Because I can see you falling hard for something that simplistic.

Until there is actual oversight and accountability that goes hand-in-hand with policing in this country, and we have actual investigations that aren't conducted by the police themselves, we will never have accountability for abuse of power.

When was the last time an institution investigating itself was actually a good idea? That foolishness is the fastest most direct path to abuse and corruption. The only reason it is an issue these days and didn't seem to be in your precious past, is because most of us have cameras in our pockets these days. Police abuse is not new, just better documented and how often do they intentionally turn of the body cameras? Uh-huh.

But by all means, keep watching the boob tube. Spoon fed pablum.

Of course.... National news has to grab your attention considering how competitive that market is. I just don't drink the koolaid. There are unquestionably bad apples in law enforcement. There are bad apples in every group of imperfect humans..... And yes I am guilty. I do believe these men and women that run toward trouble instead of away from it, most for very meager compensation are modern day heroes....... I had the opportunity to visit the UK not long ago and they had a similar program. That and BBC news were about the only thing I found to watch.... But I was somewhat astonished at the dramatic difference in UK police footage versus US police footage. By and large the vast majority of "bad guys" that the UK police took out of circulation were very docile. Some even polite to the UK law enforcement. A far cry from the bad guys that our US police have to deal with. I would challenge you to watch the program... Even briefly and just witness the vile nature of the crud these men and women have to deal with. It will embarrass the view you have of your fellow man.

Look in the mirror Joe . . . it is you who is deluded.
    • Unarmed blacks killed by police total 206 since 2000
    • Law enforcement officers who were intentionally killed in the line of duty total 1,155 since 2000
If you don't want to take the blame for being so wildly inaccurate, I suppose you could attribute it to repeatedly watching the same MSM propagandized swill over and over and over again.

Stop applauding police-killings, and start telling criminals to toe the line!

I'm sorry, but the bad apple theory is just nonsense. If there were only a few bad apples, wouldn't the "good apples" expose them and rid them from the ranks? It doesn't happen. Three supposed good apples sat and watch Derek Chauvin murder a man in handcuffs and then proceeded to file false police reports about the incident. You certainly have the determination to see the world through your rose colored glasses, but the rest of us have better things to do than watch fictionalized television shows.

The UK has gun laws. We should be more like as you suggest.

Ah, but does your theory also pertain to teachers who rape little children? I've always considered the teacher/rapists to be the "few bad apples" among the bunch. Shouldn't the "good apples" expose those filthy scum teachers who are raping the kids? But, it doesn't happen. Maybe all teachers are child rapists.

@JoeNation I just wonder if you have ever needed a law enforcement officer remove a prowler from outside your kids window late at nite. Or had to rely on them to come to your place of work and have a very high and unpredictable person that happened to wonder in removed? I have on both counts….. Do you genuinely believe these things you espouse or are you just blatantly ignorant of the service they provide?

None of that justifies killing civilians just for being black. Unless you think it does? Or unless you believe the trade off is worth it. I don't. You shouldn't.

Show proof that a black US citizen was killed by law enforcement just because they were black. Name one.

That is a load of hullabaloo. It’s quite simple really. Don’t break the law and you won’t find yourself in a stand off with law enforcement. There is no trade off. Act like somebody and you get treated with respect. Period. Stop drinking the koolaid, man.

George Floyd, Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, to name a few.

Do they admit to it? Hell no, but statistics do not lie. Being black is an executable offense in much of this country.

Being OK with that doesn't make you an objective neutral observer now does it?

Where have we heard this justification before? What law was Breonna Taylor breaking when police shot and killed her?

What is it about being liberal that makes you have to wag your finger at anything you deem as a mistake? Do you stand at the little league field and berate the kid that dropped a fly ball? Tell the kid that got a C in math that he is a stupid loser? I would bet that in any single day many thousands of peaceful law abiding citizens were helped by law enforcement. But I’ll damn sure bet that if one mistake was made, you would be there ready to batter us all over the head with it.

What makes you think that anywhere near the majority of those blacks that died at the hands of police were killed for any reason other than putting someone else at imminent risk of physical harm?

And what makes you think that the life of one who puts another member of society in danger is worth the lives of 5 police officers? I don’t, and you shouldn’t.

I think murdering innocent people in their homes is a "mistake". So shoot me.

Not a single one of these insistences were prosecuted as a hate crime were they? Try as BHO and the lowlife Holder may, they couldn’t make a case in Mr. Browns case. The feds couldn’t make one in the others either. Only leftist, race baiter’s like YOU, Sharpton, and Jackson still make it a race issue. Hell, even Holder has given in. But YOU and your filthy Soros buddies hang in there.

I have always said that republicans have a cartoon ideation about many things such as policing but maybe I should update that to include reality show ideations about policing. For people that claim the mantle of common sense so dang often, you guys sure have zero concept of reality unless it is either a paint by number caricature or a movie of the week staged production. Is it any wonder you guys live fifty years ago in the heart of Mayberry?
