Can we not agree that this has now gone too far? Whatever this boxer “identifies” as, he/she is brutally pummeling women for crying out loud!! Geez man. This is so far beyond “weird”. It is plain criminal.

In what alternate universe is it OK for a man to pummel a woman on a world stage? Given this rationale, I could identify as a sixteen year old and stalk high school girls….. It is time for this madness to end.

 

Oh god, I was hoping this story wouldn't end up here. She's not trans, she was born female and has always been female. She has an intersex disorder, but has always been and presented as female from birth.

Intersex disorders are way more common than you'd think and most people just don't get tested. She probably would never have known if she didn't get into athletics.

Again, proof of intersex that you claimed was”Way more common than you would think”. Actually, the occurrence is about the same as pregnancy from incest.

 

This sucks too because the Filipino boxer was born a female, and competes with women. He only identifies as male, but has not undergone and hormonal or other treatments because it could disqualify him. The only gender confirming procedure he's undergone is a haircut and wardrobe makeover. There's no competitive advantage, he just has the "heart and mind of a man" to quote him.

 

Does it matter? It happened to her. You could even be intersex and entirely unaware unless you've undergone genetic testing.

Tough to say. Most people take that kind of secret to an unfortunately early grave due to the abuse lobbed their way by people like all of you here.
