Ok, this why everyone is crazy over Ron Paul

This is why I like him...not to mention is is just a smart reasonable guy and most of his ideas I agree with...

Ron Paul is the only candidate from either party who advocates following the Constitution, and who is dedicated to the American principle of limited government. He's got my vote in the primaries even if the GOP establishment excludes him from future debates for daring to tell the truth. I strongly urge everyone to spend 5 minutes watching and listening. Dr Paul packs more economic information into this speech than you will get from listening to all of the other candidates combined from now until the election in 2008.

 

He is the kind of Republican I can respect and admire, not these fake right-wingers that wouldn't know the real Republican party if it jumped up and followed the Constitution to the letter. Those pretend Republican in this forum are probably too far gone from years of extreme right-wing brain washing to truely recognize the values and principles that once held sway in the the Republican party. All they have is slogans, catch phrases, and 10 second sound bites of information as a basis for arguing their position so it's no wonder they can't form a coherent position and end up resorting to personal attacks and name calling. They have been completely disarmed of any meaningful information by their own party.

Just look at the evidence that supports the decline of the GOP:

1. Rampant unrestrained government spending.
2. Bigger more intrusive government.
3. Ballooning trade deficit.
4. An incumbent nobody can even bring up in a debate.
5. Foreign interventions gone wild.

I'm sure the list goes on and on...

 

those idiots are all caught up in the Chicken Little "terrorist" crap.

 

He wont make it to election time because he's smart, sane, and competent. He isnt what we look for in our 'leaders'. If he were to be elected...it would almost be like our first libertarian president and of course they are what the republicans have always claimed to be...for less government...all the while spending like rich kids with daddies credit card.

 

Americans are only permitted to choose from among a small group of candidates who have been pre-approved by our ruling elite masters. I don't see myself voting for any GOP or Democrats in 2008 the way things stand right now. But Dr Paul will get my vote in the primary.

 

You are absolutely right for once Drusus! You might also realize that if the Whitehouse could be considered Hell, then Ron Paul has just about as much chance of getting into there as the proverbial 'snow ball'.

So what is the point? Aren't the Democratic nomimations good enought for you guys?

You might be correct. The party elite have a way of making it difficult for outsiders to get their names on the ballot. If Dr Paul isn't on the ballot, I probably won't vote in the primary since I consider the other candidates to be clones.

 

If he doesnt make it on the ballot, which I doubt he will sadly, I dont know who I would vote for...slim pickins.

I've been watching and supporting him since I first learned of him earlier this year. It's been amazing watching the support build around this guy. He took the user polls for both the MSNBC and FoxNews GOP debates... both networks claiming that the polls were "compromised". He has no media support and definitely no support from his political colleagues. What he has is a message that the people want to hear and the backbone to speak it consistently. I think that he has every chance in the world...

 

Ron Paul will drop out as soon as he comes to the realization he has no chance. Not for any other reasons as posted by some morons on here. It won't be some sort of conspiracy theory as to why he won't be on the ballots. He screwed the pooch with his blaming the US for all the worlds problems. That alone sank his canoe.

 

If you listen or read Ron Paul's words, he did not "blame" the US for anything. He said that the US foreign policy initiatives in the Middle East have consequences. This is something that needs to be considered before we get involved in the region or anyplace else. Common sense. The other republicans apparently don't believe that actions have consequences, which should disqualify them for high office, but will probably be passed-off as "patriotism." Rudy even admitted that he never heard of that concept before and requested a retraction of reality. Amazing.

But it is highly likely that Dr Paul will have to drop out eventually because the funding and paperwork requirements ensure that only those candidates who are pre-approved by the party elite can navigate the election minefield. He will probably be excluded from future debates because his poll numbers are too high for comfort. A candidate who deeply supports the Constitution and the concept of liberty is their worst nightmare.
