Come visit Russia, you will find it amazing land. You are biased only by cold war stereotypes. I have visited America, I drink your drink, eat your food and find many people there good people. Maybe if you have the courage come Russia, you might not want to go back.

I have been to Russia...I have said this several times...I have first hand knowledge of Russia. I have never said one ill word of Russia until faced with a person from there (for the first time) who says nothing but insults about my country on a daily basis. If your apology is sincere, it is most certainly accepted and I offer you apologies as well...if you continue to bash americans...I assume it is not sincere.

I only bash not all americans but only hypocritical ones. I think unfortunate you take on upon yourself as it characterize everybody.

I am glad you come in Russia, hopefully you come again and appreciate mystical land and enjoy people of country.

And I have even been where you say you are, in Houston, it so hot there it amaze me that people like to live there.

 

I wont get into this with you...maybe its a language problem but you have consistantly bashed ALL americans by typifying them in one way or another...I suggest if you are only speaking of certain americans...you use the word 'some' as in 'SOME americans are stupid and fat'

that I would agree with...just like some Russians are stupid drunks...not ALL...its one thing to have an opinion of another country you dont live in and might not have a very clear understanding on...like its politics...but when you call all americans stupid and fat...you are insulting me and everyone I know for no real reason but for bias...

Houston IS hot...but once you have lived here for a long time...you get used to it. When I went to Russia is was freezing cold...thats rough as well.

 

Cold better for you than heat. It make you vigorous, besides when you eliminate bad habits, you find people in cold weather places live longer. Unfortunately in Russia, health problem caused by many people addicted to alcohol, so not many people live long now. I want live long time, be burden my kids, grandkids, just like grandmother is me. But compare of Finland, Sweden etc. people have long lives, healthy and be burden for kids:smile Worse than stupid drunks in Russia - stupid smokers. Most smoke favourite American brands like Marlboro. They blow smoke all over and kill selves and there not laws against smoke in public.

So yes, you ask, I drink only minimal amounts of alcohol, only what is in Kvass drink. It is drink even kids drink because so little alcohol nobody get drunk on it. It around longer than vodka.

If you eat old types of traditional foods and drinks it much better for health. Unfortunately in America - so many peoples in big hurry all time and not eat well. They eat, but not well for long time living. And people of Russias, they drink in hurry, so much that becomes fools. Even President Yeltsin of Russian Federation had problems of drink. But at least seems like Vlad the Putinator not drink, but he not either rub up shoulders of German Chancellor Angela Merkel:smile and fall off wagon like it said that guy that "loved" her did.

 

I dont know about warm climates making short lives...my grandmother lived to be 100 years of age...and most of the old people in my family are over 80 so this might not be dead on. We do have air conditioning to keep us cool as well...I cant imagine what people did here before electricity to stay cool.

I drink some wine here and there but on the whole I drink very seldom...I never drink hard booze like vodka...or if I do it might be once a year on a business trip) nor do I eat much fast food. Being in a hurry is no excuse for eating poorly. I am in a hurry most days and manage not to eat a greasy burger and fries.

What will kill you faster than anything is traditional southern US cooking. Its taste SOOOOO good...breaded meat and chicken deep fried in grease...pretty much anything...deep fried...cornbread, mashed potatos with gravy, etc...

Agree, I prefer the cold as well and many member of my wifes family are in their 90's. She's pure 3rd generation Danish American though.

Is Kvass similar to meade?

 

I don't what meade is. Kvass is made of rye and barley It refresh even on hot times.

Oil consumption not do any real good for world. Best to find not more oil, but find replacement instead. Alternative energy source of fusion researched in Russia for long time, but now not get much money for funding. Why? Because government has so much money from oil, and it seem endless. But end will come, when not anybody guess will be on mark, but will happen.

Whatever you politics about Al Gore and mouthpieces of global warming, you must realize world is much different now than 100 yrs ago. Changes of weather happen all time, but you cannot ignore signs that use of oil, production of etc is bad. Until collapse of USSR, oil was treated as something wasted. Production seemed not of real interest, and it often spilled to make environmental problem which make oil spill in Alaska state in 1989 look like kitchen spill. now much is cleaned up, not because of concern of environment and well being of world, but only because of... profit.
