You just don't get it and I'm sure it is above your partisan view of the world to ever understand it. But for those that have the ability to think rationally, it's never been a matter of being born with social advantages that is the issue, it is a matter of being born without them. What you're saying is that if you had been born as a poor black female child to a single mom in the ghetto, you'd have succeeded because of who you are when in reality you haven't the slightest concept of what it is like to be born anything but white, male, heterosexual, mainstream religious, with hundreds of years of privilege under your belt to build on. I know you'll disagree but you talk from a position of ignorance and don't even know what you don't know.

This has to be the biggest self-contradiction that has ever graced this forum! You have made post after post about white guys winning the soical lottery & being born with an advantage but now "it is a matter of being born without them".
C'mon, I'll give you a bit to get your argument together & we can revisit this, okay?

Only because you lack the ability to understand the subtly of the statement. I am so not surprised at all.

In a sense. We are not the same species but we coexist well enough, and cooperate in ways that make you squirm. :D

Protestors move to Times Square, continue fighting against austerity and corporate greed. Can the demonstrations continue indefinitely... or will this movement slowly dwindle to nothing?

IMO, these are people who see their circumstances becoming more and more difficult, they see the progress they've made over the years slipping away. To have worked hard and succeeded well enough to become comfortable, then have to stand by as that comfort is slowly taken from you, is probably the biggest thrust of this movement. I'm guessing there are a lot of poor people who would be involved, but can't afford to.

As long as George Soros, the unions, and liberals keep pouring money into the "movement", it will remain on life support. I like the Flea Party's label of "99%" because it refers to 99% of the lemmings who don't know what they're protesting.

These 2 videos sum up the new Flea Party-usurped Occupy Movement very well.

So, what's up with all the student debt loan signs? Ol' what's his name refuses to answer. Hmmm

A pretty huge stretch to suggest the Occupy movement is similar to the Nazi party and communism. But this quote was my favorite:

"The propensity of Occupy Wall Street for violence also meshes pretty well with Nazi and communist practices."

I really liked the part immediately after the above quote... about how, unlike the Tea Party, the Occupiers are much more willing to take on the police. It made me smile. :D

I do think that they are just about to start the, "then they fight you" stage just before the protesters win.

Have you noticed how cliches suffice as actual arguments for the Righties?

If you are advocating violence when you say they are "more willing to take on the police", well, I'll have no part of it. Thanks, but no thanks.

I'm guilty myself of throwing a cliche or two (as well as a fist or two) when responding to other people's comments, but they are almost always in addition to an argument directly related to the cliche. <--- cliche of a cool dude... or maybe the sucker's just blind and is smiling 'cause he's mentally unstable. (I had to give the opposition some ammo to work with, they appear to be in short supply)

I believe in balance, in this case the balance between being submissive and aggressive. Being too submissive, or too aggressive, is IMO not as ideal as having the capacity to be both, showing more of one or the other depending on the circumstances.

BO has been warned not to embrace the Flea Party too tightly in public. His handlers know it's just a matter of time before violence erupts & he would then have to disavow them.

Well it has spread to London now, there is a camp set up outside St Paul cathedral From the news reports it seems the original protests took place in Spain but then spread thanks to social networking sites and the net in genral.
