The point I'm making is that it's disingenuous for liberals and democrats to portray themselves as pacifists when history has proven otherwise. The Democratic Party is not the "party of peace" that many would like to paint it as and democratic presidents aren't necessarily any more peace-loving than republicans. In fact, some democrats are considerably more hawkish than some republicans. So, democrats might want to quit fooling themselves into believing that peace and pacifism is a plank in the Democratic Party's platform. It's a crumbly, termite-ridden plank at best.

(BTW, I couldnt find any reference to the democratic party as being the ''Party of Peace''. Can you help me out? Thanks.) But you didnt really say that kind of thing. What you said was that the dems are now the war mongers. So I ask you; who were the war mongers before the dems?

 

Republicans portray Democrats as pacifists for their own politically motivated reasons, not Democrats. Some Democrats are pacifists and so are some Republicans. The painting of the entire Democratic Party as pacifists is just your own personal delusion. Gandhi was a pacifist. Democrats aren’t Gandhi, therefore Democrats aren’t pacifists. Isn’t logic fun?
