WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama, who barely knew his own father, had personal advice Friday for young men who become dads: "Even if your father was not there, you can be there for your child."... By BEN FELLER More...
I wonder where the outrage is against President Obama, like there was for Bill Cosby for saying something similar? http://justbs.us/on-topic-bs/16992-cosby-vs-wright.html#post46004
Didn't Bill Cosby direct his comments toward African American men specifically? But Obama is right. Young men should take responsibility for all the little bastards they are creating. And young women need to have a little self respect and not open up their legs to every swinging d!ck who comes their way. "My baby's daddy"....again,this phrase/concept/way of life will be the undoing of us all.
But that's how this type of change has to occur. A leader in the community, be it black, Hispanic, Asian, etc... has to call out the behavior or else, they will never take notice if a white person said what Dr. Cosby said.
Oh absolutely! I think Bill was totally within his rights to say what he did. I just think some took offense to what he said because it was directed at a specific group and God forbid anyone be singled out for any negative behavior EVER....how unPC!
