I answered your questions, now how about mine. Just what did Gingrich say that was racist? What country did I live in? BTW, I believe that it is the only country in the world whose citizenship is based on race.

If someone on this board said they were from Haiti, I would think they were black...and would have about a 95% chance of being correct. And if someone said Kenyan, I would think the same and have an even higher chance of being right. BTW, Gingrich calling Obama a Kenyan is not more a racist comment than someone calling me Irish is a racist comment. And I would guess that Ireland is less racially diverse than Kenya.

After reading, Gingrich's comments, I am not sure what his intent was. At first, I thought the Kenyan anti-colonialism remark was aimed at his Kenyan father's (possible) beliefs being transferred to the President as a child/young adult. And I would not necessarily consider that a racist remark.

But, it doesn't seem to me like his father had much of a role in his life, let alone any formative years nor any other Kenyans for that matter.

 

Like I said; I dont care if he said it as a race thing. People do that. It happens. Does that mean Gingrich is a racist? Probably not. It just means he moves along in this world along with everyone else. He doesnt float by. He walks like the rest of us. So do alot of conservatives. They say stupid **** just like democrats. Just not as often. All I said is the statement that (let me get this right)that the'' libs that keep race into everything'' just isnt so. Everybody does it. Its the way it is.
