Obama says he will not rush Afghanistan decision

He is wise to not rush. Too many factors involved to be considered.

 

yeah, like how many Americans will die while he ponders this.


I swear upon all things holy, that if Bush was doing this, his head would be on a stake by now. But the Messiah does it, and it's "wise to wait"


Anyone know if Olberman is counting how many troops have died since Obama took office?

Frozen into inaction is also a rush to decision, he has done nothing while American's are in danger. I would have more respect for him if he just withdrew all American troops and gave up because we know that is what he wants to do but he is scared of the political fallout.


Once we put troops in harms way, the selfish political manuvering should stop. Obama's only concern is how this helps/hurts his political ambitions, and that is sad.

 

Bloodiest month ever for Americans in Afganistan, and Obama is sitting on his thumbs...

I believe we will see much of this during this administration. The goal is to do as much "change" as possible, while avoiding blame or backlash if things go south.

That's why Obama keeps coming up with what he wants but leaves Nancy and Harry to work it out, because nobody likes them anyway. They are set up to take the fall.

Things like the decision on troops in Afghanistan are solely up to Obama and he is afraid to take charge and possibly be held accountable.

 

I am pretty sure your right Joe. I see the same thing, where he must stand on his own he is weak and tends to let the polls do his decision making for him trying to preserve popularity "as he sees it".

That is why he is havign the temper tantrum with FOX. They are holding him accountable while every other network and 99% of the other media is making excuses for him. Bush took massive amounts of abuse from these other networks and while he might have notched their access down a tad because of it, he never just refused to have interviews and such with them just because they did not blow smoke up his azz.


Obama is seriously showing major weakness of character in my opinion.
