What part of the country is that? Now remember you said it. So then there is no divorce where you live? No teenage pregnancies? No high school kids drinking, or smoking pot? No murders? No rapes in your state, county, or town? No deadbeat dads? No kids smashing windows or tagging walls? Please tell me where this shangrila is located.

 

Didnt say we didnt have all that its just not as rampid as it is in say "sin city"
We do have lower murder,robbery & rape rates because most of us are packing

I guess you think everyone here lives in a hotel on the strip. We have more churches and synogues per capita than any other city in the US. heres another question. Have you ever been here? If you have all that teen pregnancy, divorce, teenage drinking, how can you say traditional family values are alive and well? Maybe its just barely breathing. Oh and you say you'd string up that gay guy Jennings. Is lynching also a family value where you live? I missed that one in catechism class. Perhaps not all republicans. I can say with certainty though that most country clubbers are republicans. I think you're biased because you equate education, of which you brag about often and always questioning sometimes credentials regarding educational background, with superiority, then belittle the person (namely me) that you are debating as somehow less of a person...in the very same fashion that I have witnessed wealthy folks do. I associate wealth with arrogance (which you admit you are), with people who the majority of the time, represent the right. There are exceptions, but as I have experienced, that is the rule. I also base that assertion on the way you "go after" the left in the same demeaning fashion as I constantly hear the right's mouthpieces do, the very same folks who were muted during chester's terms, making light of his crimes, because he was "their guy", as I repeatedly point out.
The difference in democrats and republicans is that one of them clearly represents the super wealthy corporate types, and one of them occasionally represents lesser "class" people. Both are criminal many times over...but in the same way the wealthy choose the right to represent their views and who despise and ridicule the left, I choose to have the party that also clearly, will occasionally support "lefties..drains on society....etc,etc,etc." Pick your word. You know...those "lower class" people. Once again, I choose the lesser of the two evils, in the same way that we're all forced to choose one of the two available, to try and help insure the the super wealthy's interests, largely on the right, have less of a chance of being served, and the right is always furthest away from my views as a "non" super wealthy person.

Just because I am arrogant does not mean I am wealthy, but I guess wealthy is a relative term. I believe in education because I am surrounded by people that are uneducated. They are completely unprepared for life and for the most part incompetent with no skills.

As far as questioning credentials on the internet, it is perfectly reasonable to want to expose the nut jobs for what they are. The only reason I belittled you was because you presented yourself as an expert on subjects that you had very little knowledge. Your incessant posting and refusal to engage in any form of honest debate left me no other option to win the debate than by discrediting you.

You can accuse me of attacking the left all you want Tom, but you are transparently the most partisan person I have ever known. Your absolute hatred of everything republican borders on obsession and really hurts your credibility when you try to make a point. I understand your support of the democratic party even if I don't share your opinion, but it is just silly to characterize everything republican as criminal.

 

You keep trying to paint me in the corner as a big supporter of the democratic party. I keep trying to point out that I'm anti-republican. The dems are a default position.
Perhaps some folks can't afford to be as educated or have other obligations that prevent them getting a higher education, and in today's times, that really doesn't guarantee you anything anyway. Granted, it improves your chances, but the big dogs don't really want people too educated I don't think..they can get them cheaper. (which is the "bottom line", pun intended, in the corporate rapist world).

My repeated postings were partly a result of folks not engaging any FACTS..so...I say just keep throwing snowballs till you hit someone in the face. Now with you...you engaed but you kept wanting to steer the conversation to a single point (metallology...metallology), pointing out that I'm not a metallologist, therefore an idiot. But you were educated...you were a metal master (the Scorpions being my favorite metal band). Point is I tried to engage in honest debate, point by point at first, to no avail. So I lowered myself to the level of what I was dealing with, and returned fire. I viewed you as not really being interested in any facts that didn't align themselves with what you think you know, or either won't admit to. You seem to want to focus on the highly technical aspect of 911, and I really dont, mainly because it loses people in array of further confusion, so, I tried to stick with simple, seemingly understandable FACTS that didn't require a whole lot of analysis because people are too lazy to go that route. I'm no genius and I'm obviously not as "credentialed" as you claim, but I think I can hole my own on this subject if anybody would give it an honest chance, but people go blank, mute to anything that doesn't line up with the obvious garbage they were fed. Anytime you're interested in going point by point on 911...let me know. I only wanted honest debate from the beginning. I still want that but such is life.

You do attack the left..reread some of your posts. I don't know what the point is there. My "hatred", as you so characterize it, for the republicans, is generally for the public representitives as a whole, not really for the folks who have some warped version of what they think republicans represent, rather their publically elected and media party. It does spill over often though, I'll give you that.

I rarely comment anymore because this place has gone beyond stupid it seems. I stated that in one of my last comments and was chastised as "typical clembo" and I can dig that up if anyone really cares.

I know I don't because I was speaking the truth. Hey, all you have to do is look at the "warnings" by DeOrc to figure it out. Lots of insults and tons of stupidity. YES, I still read but why should I bother to comment?

Today I'll comment. I may even reply but can't say for sure as it might not be worth my time seriously. So here goes.

First, I'd like to welcome you to the forum jth. Seems you've been pretty busy.

Now I really DO have to ask what your definition of traditional family values are and how you all came up with them? Really, this is important.
I know you and craig a have not been getting along too well but just answer me if you'd be so kind. A simple, straight forward answer would be fine.


Now I have to quote you again. Sorry but it makes me wonder.

Gonna let you know where I live. About 2 miles east of Gary, Indiana actually. Crime is indeed rampant there. Murder rates are always in the top 3 or so, if not number 1 in per capita murders in the good ole U S of A. Yup, lotsa people packing there. Lotsa people die and lotsa Neegars.

The town I live in? Yup, lotsa people packing, much lower crime rate and lotsa Neegars. Course most of the Neegars in my town are white whereas they are black in Gary.

Go about 20 miles south and there is a town called DeMotte, IN. Oh yeah, lotsa people packing, very low crime rate and more churches per capita than any town in the country (Google it as it may have changed). Plenty of Neegars there but very few black cuz the KKK is still strong there.


So here's the bottom line my man. Lotsa Neegars and lotsa guns. What a great way to keep the peace and uphold traditional family values whatever they may be.
In my neck of the woods that can mean many things. Obviously it works different in different areas. Those too stupid to realize this are just that. Stupid.

And we wonder why things aren't just peachy in this country.

Face it, BO talked his way into the job. We've all seen people just like this in the workplace....well-dressed, well-spoken, a resume that has been embellished to make limited experience & non-existant accomplishments look like much more than they truly are.
He talked (recited?) a good game but now that he has the job he is obviously not up to the task. He can't take the lead in economic issues because he has never made any economic decisions...he can't help create jobs because he never has...he can't be the Commander-in-Chief because he knows nothing about & has studied at the feet of folks you despise the military. He has no experience to draw from, no frame of reference from which to operate. He is in over his head, the country is paying the price & finally the people who helped annoint him are starting to come out of their stupor, as evidenced by his latest approval numbers.

Clembo , thank you for welcoming me into this forum. My only experience with any forum was the late 90’s when several would get together an dhave it out .most of the time oncollege football.After that I only used the net for research not getting involved in dialect.
The current situation with our country has me curious of what other peoples views are so when I came upon this forum and jumped in head first a swinging

A simple, straight forward answer to traditional family values …
Having great role models parents/grandparents and being taught personal responsibility and hard work at a early age is the key root. Love and also some tough love ….being poor and not even knowing it. God, guns, and now gold. My 5th grade teacher taught me about capatalism & the evils of communism. Facism and Marxist(Obama) & socialism I learned about later.

But you and Craig want to know more of where instead of the what.

Not sure what this is all about but I’ll try and address it.
Didn’t see my first Neegar till I was about 5. Went to school with a Neegar at 13. Worked with a Neegar at 18. Friends with that Neegar and would take him home to his family because he didn’t have a car at 19. That Neegar got laid off and I didn’t and all of a sudden I’m a racist.
So my bottom line. Not so many Neegars and lotsa guns. We keep the peace by giving what extra we may grow or kill to those that cant and sometimes to those that are to lazy. No doubt if the s**t hits the fan we will be ready we are self reliant and if you believe in what we believe we will survive, and you can be a Neegar or whatever.

I see now you guys do put a lot of thought and research into your convictions... ..I’ll try to do a better job of the same. Clembo don’t leave I think this forum needs you. Hope I can come to be part of your dysfunctional family …you to Tomco…. Actually there is a few things we agree on…..but what fun would that be.lol.

You forgot the lynching. Ha just kidding. But what strikes me odd, that is to say, I find it hard to figure out. Is why you would ''string up'' a guy teaching gay teenagers about, i'll admit, some pretty weird sexual acts, but find it ok for a parent to explain a BJ to a seven year old. And although its what you said, I doubt the TV anchors or any reporter referred it as a b*** job. Maybe you were just trying to make it sound worse than oral sex. I just find your willingness to explain such an adult act to a child, a bit perverted as well. Just my opinion. I guess the traditional value of children being seen and not heard dont apply here. And gold? Really? Thats a family value? Maybe in an extremists house. And guns? although I have many, I dont see them a family more.(Sorry I dont have an accent mark). One could argue that there are many "dysfunctional families". Take this one for instance. ANY Republican or Conservative assumes everyone that is NOT is a Liberal. Therefore they are bad!
Now how stupid is that? It happens a lot but I'm certainly not going to say it applies to everyone.

There are people here that I agree with, there are people that I do NOT agree with. There are those that I don't agree with but respect their opinions.
