Obama: Lap Dog of the Far Left!!

There's a lot more to BO's flip-flop-flip on gay marriage than meets the eye.
BO has demonstrated a willingness to compromise his values for cash. Think about it...his actual position isn't any different than Romneys except he now he "personally" thinks gay marriage is okay. What brought about this change in core values? Money!
David Geffen was scheduled to host a big Hollywood fundraiser for BO last night but canceled because of BO's opposition to gay marriage. George Clooney stepped in but pushed BO to "reconsider" his position. At stake was at least 2 large contributions...Rob Reiner & Norman Lear (who knows how many others were willing to bribe BO?). Once BO flip-flop-flipped publically the fundraiser went on as scheduled & those 2 checks were written.
Who here is okay with BO changing his stance on a subject for money?

 

You want to see a lap-dog? Look no further than Mitt "the Chameleon" Romney! Don't believe me? Give him a treat and see how long it takes for him to agree with you, no matter your belief! Good boy! Gooood boyyyy! But you know, what goes in eventually has to come back out. If he wins the presidency (unlikely IMO) he'll make a mess, and the next democratic president will have to fix it....again. But that's typical isn't it? Democrats always have to clean-up republican messes.

 

Soooo....may I assume from your attempt to divert attention away from BO's action that you are okay with him changing his stance on an issue when money is waved in front of him?

As for Obama deciding to back gay-marriage, I see it as him feeling politically pressured to make the decision, ...it being politically expedient for him to come to that decision, a decision that may or may not help him politically this Fall...where-as previously he was "on-the-fence."

You call Obama's recently stated position on gay-marriage a flip-flop, in order to take the attention away from the real flip-flopper (Romney), but I call Obama's decision "coming-off-the-fence."

Sad when a sitting president will compromise his personal beliefs in exchange for cash.
It's even funnier that the BO admin would blast Romney on Friday for holding the same views BO held on Monday!

Please, you aren't seriously asserting marriage equality is supported only by those on the far left. Dick Cheney is for it. And according to some polls more than 50% of Americans agree with him.

I think that as far as you're concerned anyone who disagrees with you must be by definition a member of the far left. Again, you don't know what the far left is. Or you're simply being dishonest. The latter is a possibility, but in your case I'm leaning toward pure ignorance being the more likely cause.

 

It's not necessarily the issue that is at question here, it's the fact that BO's core values could be so easily swayed by cash, but you knew that didn't you?

 

Aren't you implying that Obama somehow knew that he'd raise a bunch of cash if he came out for marriage equality? How could he or you know such a thing? It certainly was a gamble to his election chances but somehow you seem to know all. I just forgot who you were.

Obama is a politician. If he picked up some bucks from these centrists and limo liberals for making the right decision regarding marriage equality that's fine with me. He's just doing what politicians do. Of course as Joe points out above, you have no way of knowing what was going on in Obama's head concerning all this. But then not knowing is what you're all about. It's a lot easier to just make it all up so that it fits what you already believe. Anyway, would you be kind enough to explain to me what you think a radical leftist is. You're the one who brought it up after all. And no googling

BO caved when David Geffen bailed on his fundraiser & Norman Lear and Rob Reiner threatened to not "write the check" unless BO did a public about-face on his once deeply held core value.
...keeping in mind the hypocrisy of BO's people when they ctiticized Romney on Wednesday for holding the same opinion BO held just 2 days earlier!!

Agreed. It will die down after a week or two. I don't doubt that the Rethug faction will trot it out periodically, but no one will pay much attention to it except the True Believers and maybe the National Council of Bishops.
