I know how you guys like to post Obama's poll numbers but I couldn't help noticing that you missed the most recent poll. I'm sure it was an oversight on your part so I have posted the story for you. No No! Thank YOU!! AP-GfK poll: Obama approval hits 60 percent | General Headlines | Comcast.net
I found this one interesting: Obama's Approval Bump Hasn't Transferred to 2012 Prospects Apparently the same polling company found BO only held a 43%-40% advantage over any, unnamed Republican opponent.
I find it interesting that you'd rather talk about 2012 prospects rather than current approval ratings especially when that is the topic. Your typical practice of trying to divert topics you would rather not talk about to ones you'd rather talk about seems to be rearing it’s ugly head again. I think you should know it is a cowards tactic.
Obama's approval rating has increased since he killed bin Laden. Who could have seen that coming? wow. (yawn)... I wonder who those people are who now approve of Obama? Could it be the same ones who abhor torture, but approve of Obama's decision to implement rendition (the process of taking people to foreign countries to be tortured)? Possibly it's the ones who approve of Obama invading a sovereign nation (Pakistan) and committing homicide inside that country. Maybe they've finally realized it's OK to bomb Libya and kill an untold amount of people. I suppose they can look at Obama and see past all the blood on his hands. It appears that Obama has garnered some support from the crowd who doesn't really think about the consequences of their president's actions, but instead live by sound bites and the tidbits of news they garner between bites of turkey legs and swigs of beer. Well, more power to Obama - in about a year he's going to need all the help he can get.
...and if those same people voted Republican? Would that change your opinion of them? Would you say they now dine on foods and beverages that you deem appropriate? Would you still be a (deleted)? I know the answer to that last question. (laughs)
The Bin Laden Bump. We'll see how long it lasts. But, no doubt that it has probably 'long term' helped his national security numbers. The funniest thing I heard today is that The Donald has nose dived faster than any other candidate in history. From the front runner to Ron "cannot get elected, I'm sorry" Paul status in no time flat. lol
If they acted like a brainless liberal lemming then I would say the same thing. Fortunately for now (at least until Michelle Obama has her way), they're welcome to eat turkey legs and drink beer if they want. And to receive snippets of news between bites and swigs of same. You're welcome to join them if you wish. Since I don't know what the deleted word was, I'll fill in the blank myself. I choose "genius"!
I cant believe someone said Obama invaded Pakistan and murdered Bin Laden. I'm pretty sure he had permission to enter that country and Bin Laden was considered a combatant. So homocide wouldnt apply. To think otherwise would mean your a David.
He was indeed designated as an enemy combatant. As long as he didn't surrender - and there has been no indication that he did - you, as a combatant, can blow his head clean off. No doubt about it. No warning needed. No murder involved. And it is not assassination either. And no imminent threat is needed. None. And you do not have to give him a chance to surrender either. Surprise! Bang. Dead. I am less sure about the permission to enter the country part. The only thing I have heard is that Pakistan had no advanced knowledge that we were going in. And I have not heard that we have any kind of blanket authorization from them to conduct ground operations at will in their country. It is kind of 'one of those things', though...we may have had permission but no one would ever admit it for political reasons (Pakistan would not want that given out). Or we may not have had permission at all and, in that case, we technically invaded. But who cares? It is not the first time we have invaded a country. Plus Pakistan is not protesting much, didn't go to the UN, didn't break off ties, isn't going to retaliate, etc. And, besides, it was a pretty damn short invasion.
As far as "invading" Pakistan, my statement holds true if Obama didn't have permission from the Pakistani government to enter their territory. As far as I've heard, the Pakistanis didn't give permission. If you have evidence to the contrary, I'll gladly retract that part of my statement. As far as committing "homicide", that's exactly what Obama authorized. The definition of homicide is "a person who kills another". Now, I'm not arguing the case of whether or not the homicide was justified, I'm simply stating that the SEALs committed homicide per Obama's orders.
I dont know where you heard that Pakistan didnt give permission. But I read that they allowed the US to enter their country. And to say that every President during any war commited homocide is just plain retarded.
Obama was liberating Pakistan from bin Laden's presence. See how that liberating rhetoric works so well? You certainly are Captain irrelevant point with this post.
Well, like I said before, present your evidence to the contrary and I'll gladly retract my statement. I don't have a problem with that. Also, if you know anything about the law, the act of killing another person is termed "homicide" (not "homocide" as you call it). In the eyes of the law, homicide may be justifiable or not, but it's still homicide. Again, like I said before, I'm not debating whether it was justifiable or not; I'm simply pointing out that the act was "homicide". And, yes, every soldier during war (or any other time for that matter) who kills another human being is committing homicide.
I think a "spin" would have less comedic value. My comment was much more akin to irony than the twisting of any kind of facts. I guess subtly is completely lost on you and we already know that Republicans have absolutely no sense of humor. I mean, list all of the conservative comedy shows you can think of. I'm sure that there is probably one or two out there somewhere but nobody has ever heard of them.
