WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Obama administration said Friday that it is abandoning one of President George W. Bush's key phrases in the war on terrorism: enemy combatant. But that won't change much for the detainees at the U.S. naval base in Cuba - Obama still asserts the military's authority to hold them. Human rights attorneys said they were disappointed that Obama didn't take a new stance.... By NEDRA PICKLER More...
Woo hoo! First Obama took care of the War on Terrorism and now there aren't any more Enemy Combatants. Bring home the troops and disband the military. Peace on Earth, Kumby ya.
Doesn't change a thing dropping the name, these men are still being held with no formal charges against them. I say it's a step in the right direction... the direction of finally prosecuting and imposing sentence on them. I say they are all more then likely guilty of capitol crimes. Time to quit holding them with no real charges and execute them for it. Another step to the return to Constitutional law. . .
We need to rename the Enemy Combatants as, CEOs, Executives or Wealthy, and rename The War On Terror as The War On Success, or War On Prosperity, then the Obama Administration and the Dems will really go after them.
Wow! Now we don't even have terrorism. Acording to Secretary of Homeland Security, Napolitano, it's Man-Caused Distasters, not terrorism. I picture man-caused disasters as a dam breach that floods a town, clearing a forrest from a mountain that causes a mud slide that destroys homes, etc... Not so much driving a car load of explosives in the middle of a crowded market and blowing up people. That's terrorism.
