...how many right wingers here were backing him the whole time? How many switched when it became obvious? Please be honest. There were some "great" candidates after all. You had Santorum and Newt. You had Paul and Perry. You had Bachmann and Cain. You even had Huntsman. Who was your first choice? Did you seek advice from God? Apparently several of the candidates did. God told them to run after all. Apparently God has a sense of humor as none of them got too far. Or maybe they were being punished for God knows what. Now here's a REAL big question. How many of you that didn't support him now are (and espousing him as the best thing since sliced bread) because it's "Anyone but Obama". If Romney's the man when and how did you decide that?
My fist pick was Gingrich. Of those running, my second was probably Herman, but there are several other out there I would probably pick over the both of them. And God has nothing to do with that. Is Romney the best thing since sliced bread? I have no idea. We will have to wait until he gets elected to figure that out. I burst out laughing when I read this: If I remember right, Bachman and Paul had a couple of supporters here, but I don't recall any enthusiasm for Romney. But, ahem (clears throat, straightens imaginary tie), I do recall this one guy on the left, I think his name was "Moonin'" or something like that (he's no longer here), as well as myself, repeatedly calling Romney being those rightie's choice, whether they knew it or not. But neither Moon Unit or myself have had any kind words to say about Romney, and neither of us could be considered "righties", so I can't say either of us say Heil Romney!
hehe Best he's gonna get probably. If the one-time-but-no-longer Socialist, gay-loving, pro-choice, Romney gets himself elected it will be because vitally needed and previously uncounted votes suddenly vomit from computers and voting machines in just the right numbers. These votes will be conjured up by the Right as a response to their fear and loathing of the Socialist/Fascist/Radical Muslim/Islamofascist/Radical Christian/Communist/Stalinist/Maoist/White-hating/Alien B. Obama anti-Christ that they have created for themselves, not because the love Romney. I miss Santorum. He was fun. VP maybe? I can only hope.
