Now Republicans Want to Distance Themselves from the Birther Issue THEY Created?

Eyes wide open eh? I like that! You're certainly a welcome addition to the mix. There are other reasonable people here but coin collecting is a rather conservative hobby and attracts many Right wingers...love of money I guess....so just be aware that you are now labeled as a communist, socialist, elitist, tree hugging hippie and you hate capitalism, this country, God, and the three most important colors on the planet, red, white, and blue...IN THAT ORDER COMRAD! LOL! They do love their labels.

 

Oh, I agree ...I see those labels being printed as we speak. On the other hand, I can put myself into their shoes, as it were, and see from their point of view. I wouldn't necessarily agree with their points though, quite a few are spoken completely out of context or show a lack of a "whole" view ...but I CAN understand where they get their prejudices from, and treat their rants with a healthy dose of salt. Is that enough cliches though? I must admit I enjoy using them ...but I think I could have done better. Oh well, maybe my lack of subtlety will result in a fresh batch of arrogant ramblings ...one can only hope...

I just wanted to add something about the titles on birth Certificates. There has been some debate about what the actual titles for various certificates. As far as I can tell, true legal certificates are called "Certificate(s) of Live Birth" and I haven't found any that are titled "Birth Certificate(s)" as I hear some calling for. Someone asked if I had mine, so I dug it out. It's a COPY of the "long Form" version for a Certificate of Live Birth, printed on what looks to be standard office paper. It does have an embossed seal. The originals are official government documents that are used solely by the government. Copies can be bought, but you must do so in person. I'm not so sure on the "Short-Form" version though, but you probably have to buy it in person also. Both the copy of the long-form & the short-form version are legal documents. I viewed Trump's and wouldn't call it a legal document. I also did some research and found most people debunked it a month or so ago anyway. My point was that, after all the calls for Obama to release his long-form, especially coming from Trump, why hasn't Trump's been released? He said he has, but I think most would agree that it isn't true. Most Republican representatives who have strong strategic and tactical skills know this is a pointless battle that can only hurt their chances of winning the White House.
