Fox News and Wall Street Journal parent company News Corp donated $1 million to the Republican Governors Association in June.

Will someone please show me where the "Liberal Media" news organizations are donating huge sums of money to the Democrats? Frankly, I hope that they decide to do just that. My guess is that they actually have some journalistic integrity while Fox only gives it lip service. In practice, Fox couldn't be more overtly biased. Being so overtly biased, can anyone really depaend on anything they report? I seriously doubt it.

If Fox wants to pretend to be fair and balanced, donating a million dollars to one party isn't the way to accomplish their fair and balanced mantra. Just saying it, doesn't make it so.

Ted Turner has been making large political donations for decades. This thread is much to do about nothing. So a blatantly right wing news corporation made a large political donation to a republican organization. Big woop!

REALLY? Ted Turner? Let's see exactly what he has donated to political campaigns and PACs instead of just guessing. And keep in mind that this represents 1979 through 2009. If I whip my little calculator out, that is roughly $12,720 a year on average. I wonder how long it would take him to get to the million News Corp gave in a single donation?. Nice deflection but the truth shall set you free.

    $30,750 Republican
    $234,850 Democrat
    $1,000 Reform
    $115,024 special interest
    total: $381,624

Those are his personal contributions. What about campaign contributions from companies under his control?

EXACTLY the difference! News Corp is an organization while Ted Turner is an individual. You didn't ask about any organizations Ted Turner controls you asked about Ted Turner. If you Google Ted Turner, you'll be amazed at the amount of money he gives to non-political organizations and foundations he set up. Individuals are free to give to who they want but news corporations like MSNBC's parent company GE will usually made equal donations to both sides of the political divide. New Corp is openly taking sides and therefore cannot be trusted to be fair and balanced. I don't mind that they are not fair and balanced, just don't try and pretend they represent anything but the media arm of the Right wing.

On another subject, did you see Fox is number one....Among the oldest people! Yeah, mostly old white people like you find at tea parties are their base of viewership. Who'd a guessed?

Wait, did you just say that in order to be trusted, the company must pay off both sides. Forgive me if I don't subscribe to that logic. BTW, did you read my statement of "blatantly right wing" to mean "fair and balanced"?

They are also number 1 in total audience - more than MCNBC and CNN combined. They are also number 1 among viewers aged 25 to 54 - again more than MCNBC and CNN combined. But for some reason you say "Among the oldest people". Hummm? Are you admitting that you have a phobia of people who know more than you? Or, you might be admitting that your com-padres are ignorant. Oh! I got it. You are admitting that the "old white people" care enough to learn the facts unlike your friends.
