FEC Rules Nancy Pelosi’s Pacs Broke the Law.
(Why aren’t the news media talking about this)

Two political action committees linked to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have been charged with attempting to circumvent it’s legal limits on campaign giving, the Federal Election Commission has ruled.

According to the finding, Pelosi appears to have violated the same kind of campaign finance regulation that spurred the indictment of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

So, is Nancy going to be indicted now? You probably shouldn't hold your breath.

Tom DeLay resigned as House Republican Majority Leader, because he was indicted and Republican Rules (not House rules) require that.

Nancy Pelosi has not resigned, even though she was found guilty of having a "fund-raising committee. . .improperly accept donations over federal limits" and fined $21,000.

The Democrats do not have a rule requiring Pelosi to resign, even though convicted.

    What does all this mean?

First, Republicans have higher ethical standards than Democrats.

Second, the Republican rule failed to take into consideration the possibility that a partisan zealot prosecutor would abuse his fiduciary position to indict a person like DeLay, as part of a campaign to falsely depict Republican leaders as corrupt before the 2006 and 2008 elections, and to hinder the effort to implement President Bush's agenda.

Third, an indictment is a charge, nothing more, evidence of nothing. But a determination of guilt is supposed to be conclusive evidence of guilt. More of those double standards we have talked about!

Pelosi’s puppy dog Murtha Threatens Dept. of Defense

During a time of war, a luxurious plane is the top priority of Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, so much so that she has Rep. Murtha threatening the DOD on her behalf.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), Chairman of the Republican Study Committee, called on Congressman John Murtha (D-PA) to clarify threatening comments directed at the Pentagon and U.S. Military. Rep. Murtha, Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, said in the San Francisco Chronicle and onCNN that the Pentagon made "a mistake" by talking about this story, since Speaker Pelosi "decides on the allocations for the Department of Defense."

"Resorting to the use of bullying tactics against the Pentagon is reckless and irresponsible, particularly while our nation is at war," said Hensarling.

"It is hard to believe that any member of Congress would threaten funding for the Pentagon and men and women of our armed forces, simply because Speaker Pelosi wasn't given her own 42 seat military jet," he said. "It is especially surprising that these comments would come from someone who has served his nation with great courage and sacrifice."

No one ever admits guilt in America. Well, rarely anyway, and usually only when they are looking for a deal. What did you expect them to say?

I was watching the Tonight show when Dennis Miller was the guest. He saw Nancy Pelosi wielding a gavel. He said that was like Charlton Heston waking up to see an ape on the horse.

Pelosi’s Culture of Corruption - Presidio Partners, Hunters Point Redevelopment. Her companies pushed aside low-income families in order to feather their own nests. A sort of "Robin Hood" rip-off in reverse.

While Madam Nancy Pelosi polishes her spin, many skeletons in her closet threaten to come crashing out the door. Conflicts of interest mark the ambitious career of the House Speaker and her past will someday catch up with her, perhaps at a time most inconvenient for her Democrat colleagues.

Pelosi lectures her defeated opponents about their Culture of Corruption, only to find herself at the center of her own Culture of Corruption. She could give Paul Volcker a run for his money in the conflict of interest department when he was investigating the United Nations Oil-for-Food scandal.

The ostensible intent of the Federal Government’s 1988 Base Realignment and Closures Act (BRAC) was to look after the little people first. All closed military bases would be privately developed for the benefit of neighboring support communities. At the end of the day, no one would be displaced or adversely impacted by the closings. Like many government schemes, it sounded good in theory, but the fairy tale turned nightmare almost overnight.

First came the Presidio and Pelosi’s role as an investor in a real estate investment entity called Presidio Partners. “The Presidio Trust, a group of well-connected citizens, was charged with stewardship of the new national park. The Trust made a big show of gathering public input, which it then ignored in favor of building the absurdly gargantuan Letterman Digital Arts Center.” The $100-million Digital Arts Center celebrated its official opening on June 26, 2005 with a smiling Pelosi, Senator Barbara Boxer and San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom in attendance.

Then came Pelosi’s role in the 500-acre Hunters Point Shipyard. The Hunters Point Shipyard redevelopment measures have been called the most corrupt legislative initiatives to pass successfully through San Francisco. In order to speed up the process to have the lagging US Navy turn the property over to San Francisco, Pelosi used her lap dog John Murtha, the ranking Democrat on the House military appropriations subcommittee, who did her bidding to press to have the Navy sign a binding agreement for the deal on a specific date.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, A meeting was called for March 31 in the Capitol offices of Pelosi for the purpose of transfering title of Shipyard. In attendance were Navy Assistant Secretary Johnson, Senators Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, along with the influential Murtha.

Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi’s conflicts of interest in the Shipyard development have been reported to the U.S. Attorney’s office, the FBI and the Federal Elections Commission. Pelosi was found guilty by the FEC stemming from her documented use of charitable funds she received from the Tides Foundation and Center, a 501© (3) non-profit organization headquartered in San Francisco and controlled by Teresa Heinz Kerry. Pelosi was fined $21,000 by the FEC for accepting donations over federal limits, she pled guilty and paid the fine.
How is it even possible that the hungry-for-power Democrats allowed Nancy Pelosi to become their House Speaker?

The Dems want a president in the White House in 2008.

Pelosi, who is damaged goods, is bound to ruin their chances.

If that's all they could dig up on her she is squeeky clean (for Washington). Look at Bush for instance
-his grandfather was a financier for the Nazis
    -he was a draft dodger
-major cocaine abuser, alchoholic, and drunk driver (ex girlfriend had an abortion).
.. and there is plenty more.
