I like it in that IMO it sums up one aspect of the Bagger movement very well. Displaying it is an act of racism only if you agree with the sentiments it represents. It is not an act of racism to display it as an illustration of an attitude or mindset held by others and of which you disapprove.

 

As far as I can see the avatar associates the Tea baggers with the Klan, it is not aimed at any ethnic grouping but at a political grouping. If any of you think that I have this wrong then please explain as to why you think so and If I find your argument reasonable I will remove the avatar.

 

They have refused to explain it to me too. I've asked, and asked, and asked. I guess it is enough to call something racially derogatory and racist, devote an entire thread to it, without actually being able to explain how it is racist. These are people that watch FOX so innuendo is something they are willing to accept as good enough. Go figure.

Btw, why is an Administrator referring to the Tea Party as "Tea Baggers". It seems (to me) that an "Administrator" should be above crass, one-sided remarks such as that.

 

"Baggers" is just an affectionate nickname. We do that a lot around here. Ask Davy. And anyway, I think the Baggers actually referred to themselves as Tea Baggers for a while at the beginning until someone clued them in on what "tea bagging" was. Could be wrong though.
