Now I'm sure fog-of-war won't acknowledge this because it's contrary to the lib narrative (and clueless won't accept it because he takes his opinions from foggy) but I was just made aware of another scam that's apparently fairly widespread.... I guess many couples don't get married because, if they have kids, they can qualify for all sorts of assistance by claiming the father is out of the picture. We were back-to-school shopping last night & I was talking to a couple of parents who were almost bragging about the freebies they qualified for because the system didn't take the father's income to account. Perhaps it's time to overhaul the system instead of simply throwing more money at it?
I'm sure you could fill us in on all kinds of scams...sorry if I exposed one of your favorites. Imagine how much money is wasted....how many truly needy are deprived...on people receiving hand-outs they don't deserve. I wonder how clueless sleeps at night.
