Have you noticed how libs will bash Christianity but not think twice about having Good Friday off work or school? They will protest the 10 Commandments being posted but gladly accept holiday pay for Dec 25th.

Hahah.. They also don't mind spending money with "In God We Trust" printed on it. That has nothing to do with Christianity, but, of course they want to erase any reference to any "God" whatsoever.

Yes, it's shameful. I'm also aware of people who harp and moan about "socialism" willingly accepting Medicare assistance. What ever shall we do about all of these despicable instances of hypocrisy?

It's funny how catering to Christian superstitions is framed as liberals taking advantage of a day off with pay. I have an idea, let's skip all the Christian holidays entirely. Or should we all just keep catering to your particular religious superstitions without having any say in the matter? I'm being forced to take the day off and I might just want a different day off that doesn't happen to coincide with your religious nonsense. Oh yeah, I don't get that choice do I? Now I see the real meaning of hypocrisy by those wallowing in it. Great eye-opening post once again.

I don't know where this getting Blood Sacrifice Friday off work comes from. I've never been forced to take that day off although I could have asked to take it off if I believed in that garbage and I probably would have gotten it. Blatant catering to Christianity seems to sum it up pretty well. The persecution of Christians in this country is totally out of control isn't it.

Yeah, for anyone who doesn't believe we weren't intended to be a nation based on Christian principles go to DC & try to find gov't buildings that don't have "In God we trust" or something similar etched into the architecture. Perhaps the decay of our society coincided with liberal denial of our foundation?

I'm sure no one would have taken issue with you showing up to work yesterday, would they? My guess is you decided to enjoy the Christain holiday by sleeping in & spending time with the family as they too enjoyed their Christian holiday. How close am I?

They really didn't have to take issue with me showing up at work yesterday since I and they all did show up at work yesterday because we are state employees and in this country there is separation between church and state. We don't get silly religious holidays off. However, I did get to cover the office for those that chose to attend Good Friday services during the workday. That was special.
Catering to your superstitions cost businesses billions annually. We should simply wipe those Christian observances out and stop making businesses foot the bill for your hair-brained beliefs. As far as being a Christian nation goes, BS! We are a secular society and have been since our beginning no matter what the tyranny of the Christian fundamentalist want to make the rest of us believe. The least Christian people I know are Christians and this bitter little thread of yours proves it.

Hey David, timely subject, at least to me. Just yesterday I was thinking about how a lot of muslims in a lot of countries believe enforcing sharia law on others is a good thing. That got me to think about how some christians here in America believe they should be able to impose their beliefs on the rest of the country. Then you come along, and post a thread about how America is a christian nation LOL

I never said that I was forced to take Good Friday off, I said that I was forced to take the day off. As in a Christian holiday like Christmas. I didn't mean that I took Good Friday off. I can see that is how you took it but I didn't say that I had Friday off.

I don't believe anyone is forcing you to believe anything. Are they? Seriously, if Sharia Law comes to the U.S. are you going to believe in it even if they torture you? Surely you're not so weak as to believe in something (e.g., Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Satanism, Atheism, etc.) simply because someone forces you to believe in it, are you?

Now, on the other hand, should Sharia Law be imposed in the U.S., you will have to follow it or run the risk of being tortured, killed, etc. But, that doesn't mean you have to believe in it.

    Well, you did say:

The way you said it makes it seem as if you had to take Friday off and had no choice of taking a different day. So, did you have a choice to take a different day, after all?

So let me get this straight. The rest of are being attacked for taking a paid Christian holiday even if we are not Christian and being told that this is a Christian nation and that we shouldn't either get the holiday off or we shouldn't be paid for the day off because we are not Christians? Welcome to Americistan where the Christian Taliban wants to impose their religion on the rest of us but feel that we shouldn't be given days off or paid to take days off unless we believe as they do. What is the Christian form of Sharia law anyway?

No wonder people hate self-proclaimed Christians.
