She sent the AZ National Guard to the borders but would not arm them, they were maintainance workers.

And what about the continual job losses and market falls of the past year was that all his fault as well? My god this man must be remarkable if he can single handedly bring about the demise of the USA before he even takes office.

 

Once again (I'll go slowly for you), the markets operate on confidence & expectations 3...6...9...12 months down the road. No do you see where I'm going?? I understand that, not being a US citizen, you don't have a dog in the fight & have the luxury of taking a chance but we do not. I guess that's part of the issue you will never grasp.

 

Once agin David I will point out to you very slowly as I am beging to fear that your brain can not cope with simple logic, if we use your example to explain every fall in the market then the falls at the begining of the year are due to the Bush adinistration, therfore logicly all the following falls are also there fault.
Now as my Degree is in Economics and Politics I do not need lessons from you on how the market works.
You also fail to grasp the simple little fact that what the Dow does today the world markets do tomorrow so yes I do have a great interest in what is happening.
The same is true of the US political climate what America does has a knock on effect round the globe.
You might have missed the fact that British troops are currently involved in TWO conflicts with you.
So do me a favour and drop the Only a American will know rubbish.

 

Forgot to add that 3/6/9/12 months ago people did not know that Obama would be President elect never mind what the make up of his cabinet would be so how the hell did his selection a couple of days ago cause the market to fall 700 points?? Come on genius give me a answer to that LOL

Actually I will opin that what is happening in the USA financial markets has actually caused much greater distress in several overseas areas, Iceland, Britain, Ukraine, Turkey, even China. China is directly affected by the downturn in the USA, cancelled orders etc. have closed literally thousands of factories and laid off hundreds of thousands of employees in the past few months.

Britain, yes, Britain has been the ONLY country that has stuck by the USA through thick and thin in the last couple of decades, hands down. I like to believe we established many of our institutions based on our past under British rule. Because of that commonality, our two countries are uniquely poised to be allies, we have similar democratic ideals. No other country can hold a candle to Great Britain, not Canada, definitely not France and not a lot of other countries.

But that will escape our resident malcontent.

 

Woo hoo! The Dow is up 172 today. They must think that Obama is going to do good in 3 months and one day, 6 months and one day, 9 months and one day, 12 months and one day!
