The economy was on an upswing, under George H.W.Bush, before he even took office. Clinton just took credit for it and he and the Dems continue to take credit for it.

I did want to reply to your second comment though... I wanted to give you a big "LOL." I toss around labels? Oh ok. I definitely hate abortion, I'm proud to say that. That's a solid ideal. What do you believe in? Aside from "I hate Bush and his family?"

 

Hmm... I seem to remember, just after the second election of clinton... the economy started to decline... I think it even crashed (or came damn near it) around then...

I have always argued that the President doesn't have nearly as much influence on the economy as people think. Certain things they do may cause the stock market to go up or down as a reaction for a short time but the overall economy goes in cycles.

 

Honestly, I don't think our president has much "power" at all.. figurehead for at least 30 years..

Liberal = hypocrite.

A person that believes that big national government is better than the individual state governments.

People that believe that the laziest scum on the street should be able to live his life refusing to work and collecting welfare without consequences and should be supported for doing so.

A person who believes that America would be better off with a socialized health care system where he/she thinks that lazy Jim, from down the road who hasn't worked a day in his life but collects welfare from the government off of the working man's dime and is putting a drain on all of society by having 25 kids with 24 different women so they can all get more welfare, deserves more free government funding by offering a service that is going to drive taxes up even more for everybody that has a job and pays taxes.

A person who believes that the life of an unborn baby isn't worth as much as the convenience lost by a mother who keeps her child.

A person who believes that a soldier who is fighting against terrorism and for our freedoms is a murderer.

A person who wants to stop "big business" while raising taxes on everyone effectively creating a market for big business and driving small business or private business owners out of business.


That's a liberal. I'm sure I left some out. That's just all I feel like typing right now. From all that you've typed, any educated person should believe this is exactly what you are... A Liberal.

If only there were holidays that are designed to honor veterans. You know, some kind of veterans day or memorial day, or something like that.

 

There are certain things about a President that can bother the economy, such as both Billary and Obama have promised to severely increase the taxes on stuff like capital gains.

Watch what happens to the stock market once plans like that start to go into effect.

I liked your definition but would add a little more to expand on the big government part.


Liberals believe people are incapable of managing their own lives, they need Big Brother to tell them what to do for every situation, to create a manual of life and to make everyone live by that manual.



Liberals are the true racists, they are the only group telling minorities they cannot succeed without "them" taking care of them, nevermind that people like Oprah Winfrey have been succeeding without the help of Government for a very long time, they still try to convience the minorities that their helpless without liberals.

Liberals are always trying to create "disadvantaged" groups in order to make them feel oppressed so they will support them to relieve that oppression, it is pretty sick to be honest.
