Mitt has been around two times. Small population but Lots of money to be collected down here. Newt once that I know of as you see pressing the flesh. Great bus but not as polished visit as Mitt's. I sent you Rick's picture. He spoke at a Baptist Church that seats thousands. Was very popular but not seen as having a chance. Possible VP for get Conservative attention or will it be that fat guy from Jersey Shore. We have the Churchills living here, Marge Shott who owned the Reds lives or lived here, the guy who owns the Chicago Fire MSL club and married into the Broffman family lives here. Small area but lots of money floating around. My kids and I were even at the Steven Spielberg place a few years back. Size of a hotel I tell you.

 

Hey growing old is a sign of success compared to the alternative. At least that is what I say to myself. My kids might be young but not me.

Andy started this thread. Look a the title then look at the pictures. I could be wrong here but I think he may have been making a statement, tongue in cheek or otherwise.

I've never pictured Andy as a liberal. I dunno. Andy? - any comment?

I have no intention to offend anyone but here's what I think about Florida. There are, indeed, a lot of senior citizens there. I'm pushing 50 myself but will most likely never live there.

My in laws do. My father in law is in his 70s and still works construction. My sister in law is 52.
My wife lived there for a few years and hated it. Why? Too many old people wating to die.

My dad retired and moved there. My grandmother moved there and stayed with him for about 6 months. She was about 80 then and moved back north. Why? She told me she went there to live and it seemed everyone else her age went there to die.

She outlived my dad by several years.

What are my points? I think Andy made them actually whether or not anyone wants to notice.
There are older folks in Florida and they do have money.

You right Clembo, tongue in cheek but based on fact. Naples is a small area but one of the wealthiest in the nation. People do not make money here, they bring it and for most of those it is their second or third home that they live in part time. I myself do not have Naples type money but isn't it great to be an American.

Moen, that's because the best beach areas are in Southwest Florida which is Republican.

 

The look on the nearest lady's face in the first photo combined with Andy's Rock Star thread title led me down the 'groupie' road my post. But, I was really trying to make a wry comment about Mitten's blandness. But if I failed...I blame Andy.

 

I'm in central gulf side Florida. Some of my brothers and sister live in the same area. My brother is a master contractor and takes care of all of our properties. I NEVER have to visit Florida if I don't want to. Haven't been there since my parents died and I have no plans to ever live there. My least favorite state in the union.

 

Ok time to drop a few of the many names that live here now and then during the year and remember this is a small community we are talking about

The Winston Churchill family, Steven Spielberg, Donald Trump, and more common people like Mike Dikta, Larry Bird, Robin Cook, Buzz Aldrin, and of course the newest face on the condo scene as another part timer and A Great American Sean Hannity but I can see how this last bit of remaining paradise isn't up to speed to a man of your tastes.

 

I think that the guy down the street knows a guy who is related by marriage to some neighbor of a guy who works at the local 7-eleven. Our claim to fame.

If he works at the 7-11 he is either an illegal who manages to vote democrat a few times every election or a republican store owning family member who is conservative with everything but hiring procedures.

While you're bragging about your holdings, do you remember a while ago when you were bragging about how many cars you own & the phone technology you had in them? Remember? At the same time iqless was lamenting how his lack of a car kept him from getting a job? I suggested you act like a good liberal/socialist & share your personal wealth with him.
