Nothing gets the senior circuit in more of a tizzy than a politician with rolled up sleeves. I bet there were girdles being thrown on stage left and right.
Darn. I was going for sexism. If I had been going for ageism, I would have made a comment about stupid hats too.
Mitt, workin' God's waiting room. Tiny bubbles....In the sea...Tiny bubbles... And I had Newt pegged for the lounge lizard.
So, it's okay to verbally 1) attack women, 2) attack elderly people, and 3) attack elderly women in your opinion? Let me guess: you'll never be a Red Hat Society speaker . . .
Lighten up folks. Seriously, old folks is what Florida is all about. Everyone knows that. Trying to mount your moral high-horse over something this silly only makes you look like you've fallen off your horse and you can't get back on.
Yes, it is, go with that. I'll call the liberal attack plan committee and let them know that you've figured out their plan. Drat!
He is great at that, but yet somehow everyone ELSE is a racist. Go figure. BTW, my daughter spent several years in Florida and would love to go back. I hope she does not yet qualify as "old folks".
Good one, there. But, no, she was trying get her kids some of that southern education that you have "proven" every bit of it is so inferior and that you have somehow dumped my education into that mix.
So it's okay for moen to pull rlm's children into the fray but when I remind everyone of some of the weird things he posted himself about what goes on in his house, it's a rules violation?
In my opinion, all of this personal attack garbage is wrong--no matter who does it. I do my best to confront the argument and not the person (although I'm sure I'm not perfect), but there are certain individuals that can't go a single page of posts without dragging personal insults into the fray. People need to learn a bit of self-editing here, just like I said at the beginning of the thread. There is more sexism, ageism, homophobia, racism, misogyny, misanthropy, anti-religion, and just general anti-, -phobia, or -ism nastiness here than I care to see. These things dilute and derail conversations and damage the credibility of all of the people who regularly engage in the practices.
Not at all. It's just that, being only a decade away from the "elderly woman" status myself, I'm glad I know where I stand with you. After all, I'm just a couple months from moving out of my Pink Hat days . . .
It's actually toned down HM. Quite a bit actually. Why do you think I liked it when you and folks like Takiji joined?
