The CEO of the mining company is going to step right up here in the latest Kentucky disaster, isn't he? Or will the profiteers once again hide in the shadows and only show up for the profit? Business as usual...right? Not their fault....nothing ever is..
Two of the six Kentucky mines remain closed, MSHA said. Working numbers for operators Conshor Mining and Red Bird Coal could not be found in multiple directories. Manalapan and Left Fork addressed dozens of violations and resumed production. The six Kentucky mines were cited for 238 total violations and given 55 orders for miners to leave at least portions of mines while safety violations were being repaired. Overall, MSHA said it issued 1,339 citations nationwide during the five-day blitz from April 19 to 23. Rape and mega profit will continue...human beings be damned if they're not "in the $$ club".
No Spooky. I'm pointing them out in the hopes that the next time somebody yells how great "capitalism" is, folks remember the details instead of just the headlines that were a result of "business". Maybe folks will demand "business" be conducted with a little more forethought to the people's futures that they destroy in the name of profit. Do you have dain bramage? Pathetic indeed.
No, it sounds more like you celebrate these catastrophes just so you have an excuse to spew your nonsense.
No....not that I am aware of. There ARE several thousand upcoming massive layoff and job cut projects in the upcoming quarter that should yield a .000015 of one percent uptick in profits for the top 1 percent of America's most elite corporate "business" executives and stockholders! That's good..isn't it?
If they are guilty of cutting corners on safety proceedures then there should be no hiding place for them and it should be classed as murder with the appropriate penelties.
Well..perhaps since they all busy blaming each other and can't assign fault, (but gladly accept the Megaprofit) I think the rest of their drilling operations should be halted immediately until they CAN figure out who WOULD be responsible. Gee...I wonder what the Dick would have to say?
I was celebrating the .000015 of one percent of profit rise for the mega wealthy. You don't share the same excitement? I thought you supported capitalism? I thought MORE was always better?
So you have a problem with a profit as thin as .000015 of one percent? What exactly would you consider an acceptable profit? My guess is that if a business, any business, operated on a profit margin of .000015 of one percent it would have difficulty paying the light bill much less meet payroll or sustain debt. Well, I guess that would pay into "the Obama's" grand scheme and give him yet another business to assume control over. I'm starting to follow your thinking now tom, demonize every business (except colleges, universities) that actually makes profit enough to keep afloat then pick 'em off one-by-one if profits decline..justify it as mismangement, greed, whatever. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
No Spooky...I was celebrating their success at achieving MORE....after all...it's all that matters. Hey, by the way, and not to get off topic but, how's that "drill baby drill" thing working out for you all?
