find me an updated list, I will conceed that this war is making military more dangerous but I doubt that it tops Alaskan fishing boats.

It's not the same playground anymore guys. Clean it up, tone it down and be civil to each other - or don't bother posting. It's just that simple.

 

Moen, Danr, etc. please do us all a favor: Join the military, get real up close and personal with it, then come back and spout your bile. Maybe then we might care to listen.

Serving in the Scouts is a very honourable thing.It actually helps you to build a sense of character & self-worth,plus it will instill in you a strong sense of justice.

My dad was drafted during Korea but spent the war in Fort Dix NJ. He said that all they had him do is walk around with a clipboard. I thought about the Marines after high school but I ended up going to college.

 

I went to college first then joined after realizing that you can't run track for a living and didn't want to be a forester the rest of my days, LOL...

I can also add that my oldest brother Jim, would have been drafted/enlisted during Vietnam but when he was 18, a drunk driver pulled out in front of him while he was riding his motorcycle and put him in traction for four months. He said that after the accident he remembers floating above his body lying on the street. The next thing he remembered was waking up in a lot of pain in the hospital with a compound fracture to his femur. He still has a metal plate in his leg and limps. So much for the military.

Which is exactly what I said was wrong with your misinformation in the first place.

 

average these combat deaths over all the Democratic leadership (peace) years and though it is still a dangerous job it in no Alaskan fishing boat.

 

I saw that bumper sticker today on the way back from a camping trip that said,

"Wouldn't it be great if schools had all the money they needed and the military had to hold a bake sale to buy a bomber".​

I think we all know that isn't the world we live in but the sentiment expressed should be a shared value. If we only valued learning as much as we valued the need to feel completely secure from foreign attack. How many of us would want to live in a world like that and how many of us are quite satisfied by the current situation? My guess is that if you see the same bumper sticker and dream of a time when it actually is possible, you may be part of the former group while if at the same time you see the bumper sticker and feel resentment towards the driver, you just may be part of the latter group.
The world is what we make it and if it stinks, we are to blame.

Change the qualifications all you want, I don't really care if you admit your mistake and own up to being wrong. I just wanted to set your inaccuracy straight.
