Merry Christmas to all! Yes, I'll be "getting a life" in another hour or so. All my family is in California and Oregon, and my wife's family is in Pennsylvania. So we're hosting a Christmas dinner for some of our local friends who also have no family in the area and who aren't travelling this season. In about an hour or so, we have to start preparing the dinner and socializing a bit.
Merry Christmas everyone. I hope that y'all had a great holiday with your loved ones. Did everyone get what was on their wishlists? We just now are done with the day's festivities. Joe had us up this morning before 5am! Could have killed the little bugger if he wasn't so cute about it Needless to say, after a day of assembling and playing with toys, and another large part of the day spent in the kitchen preparing dinner we are all pooped and I, for one, am glad that it's over. Although dinner was fabulous if I do say so myself I made a prime rib, twice baked potatoes, burgundy mushrooms, a salad...all complemented by a simply perfect bottle of merlot. Ahhh, life is good. Once our tummies settle it will be creme brulee for dessert and then get Joe off to bed so I can crash...it's been a looonnnggg day. I hope everyone's holiday was peaceful, enjoyable and surrounded with love. Merry Christmas to all.
Did you all have a good Christmas? Here in New Zealand,it can get quite hot at this time of year,but this year,it has been quite cool.It is supposed to be Summer over here,but it feels more like Winter some days.
