Yes, but sometimes "revolutions" are a strange animal. Remember, the 1918 Red October disaster. Cheering illiterate crowds welcomed Lenin and his Bolesvists. We all know how that turned out. Then, in 1979 Iranians threw out the Shah for a Islamic messiah named Khomeini. His reign of terror lasted until his death in 1989. Then another madman took over, Ayatollah Ali Khameini. He and his Family lived in opulence, ruling with an iron fist for 37 years. True, the US, UK and Stalin forced the old Shahs Father out, and put his US backed young son on the throne, this was forced regime change, his Father was loved by the people. Now, millions of Iranians in and outside of Iran are cheering. Plus, this kinda evens the playing field, Putin lost his closest ally, Iranian missiles and drones have been used by Russians for 4 long years to kill Ukrainian civilians. This now ended. I saw crazies in US protesting the US/ Israeli strikes, where in Gods name were they when IRGC slaughtered 45K innocent protesters in January? I guess these "wackos" also support Putin.

 

Similar sentiments were expressed by Nazi sympathizers in 1945.

This is anecdotal, but I'll share it anyway.

I have a good friend who is Iranian who owns a restaurant in my city. He lived in Iran when the Shah fell. He was captured by the Islamic Republic regime and they tortured him. He still has marks on his arms where they burned him.

Fortunately, they let him go and he fled to the United States. He had only one family member here, spoke almost no English and was nearly destitute. He took a job as a dishwasher and saved the money he earned. Eventually, he bought his restaurant and now has reached the point he's ready to retire comfortably.

Over the many years I've known him, we've had plenty of political discussions. He's quite liberal and has expressed his admiration for Clinton, Obama and Biden. He's also expressed his utter disdain for President Trump.

Yesterday I stopped by his restaurant. Naturally, we immediately started talking about what is happening in Iran.

He told me that he would bow down and kiss President Trump's feet if he could. For a Muslim to say that, well, that is certainly saying something.

I would surmise that most Iranians, not only in Iran but all over the world, are feeling similar sentiments.

You know, had Truman listened to Churchill and Patton, the World would be in a much better place. This was, "Operation Unthinkable" US, Allied forces with German volunteers attack the USSR in July 45. Goal, destroy Russian Red Army, kill Stalin. End result, Russia never gets nukes, US establish democratic govt. China likely would have never turn Communist either. Communism would be ancient history. And saved 100M lives that Mao took, 20 M in USSR.. no Iron curtain, Warsaw Pact Slave States. Better yet No Putin.

 

Hindsight is 20/20. People like to say, "If we only knew then what we know now".

Ridding the world of Hitler was a good thing, no matter how anyone slices it. Yes, it would have been great to rid the world of communism too, but it is what it is. We, unfortunately, have to deal with it.

Similarly, ridding the world of Khameini and his murderous regime is a great thing. Certainly, there will be fallout and repercussions that we can't foresee. But, at the end of the day, this is how the world works.

 

Undoubtedly there will be some downside liberals can claim to Khameini having been removed, whether great or small.

In any case, I have every confidence that downside is far outweighed by the harm he'd have visited upon this Earth if he remained.

 

This should be a billboard sign displayed in every left wing city in America.

Up here, where I live I ran into a NDP poltical candidate, he was canvassing for votes in our last Federal election. He is often on radio talk call in shows. I ended up meeting him inside a Starbucks joint. He asked me, if I would vote for him. I replied, I was Conservative and would vote for Polievre. I then asked him, why he was a "leftie"? He answered, because the left is very careing and supports social programs.
I then replied, well in the last 100 years, 210M died as a result of leftist regimes, Stalin/ Mao/ Pol Pot/ Che Guevera/ Tito/ Kim Family.....

Yes indeed. It is past time for the Iranian regime to meet its end. It sickened me when Obama gave them billions of dollars which was used in their crusade to kill Americans, Israelis and other people in their region.

I recall how weak and pathetic Kamala and Biden looked when they said “Don’t” when asked by reporters to give their assessment on Iran’s plan to build nuclear weapons.

President Trump not only obliterated their nuclear program last year, but has now taken out the major forces in Iran who sought to build the nuclear program in the first place.

President Trump didn’t tell them “Don’t”. Instead, he offered them a diplomatic opportunity for peace and when they refused, he acted swiftly and decisively. Had Biden done this several years ago, we wouldn’t be here today cleaning up the mess he and Obama (and Carter) created.

But, here we are fixing what the Democrats broke.

Nevertheless, Iran now sees prosperity and freedom around the corner. Thank you, President Trump.
