Too tired to tackle this sicking issue right now. But understand the extremist elements on both sides that pollutes this national discussion.
I'm going to have to check the party platform on this. But I"m not feeling the love from any of the Republican candidates for President. In this respect I think yours is definitely a minority view within your party. A small minority. Which is why I value it all the more.
Just as I don't think you'll be feeling the love from Obama unless he changes his position on gay marriage. At this time, he's fully against it. I wouldn't disagree with that statement. Republicans, just as Democrats, aren't perfect and on this issue, I disagree with the Republican candidates. But, at the same time, Democrats aren't exactly "pro-gay marriage" either. Read: http://prospect.org/cs/articles?article=democrats_gay_marriage_problem Thank you. I appreciate that. You and I might disagree on topics ranging from economic models to political structures to a belief in a higher power. One thing I don't think we'll ever disagree on is the fact that homosexuals should have the same rights as anyone else in this country. No more, no less. I believe discrimination against homosexuals is slowly (too slowly) beginning to fade and I, for one, am glad to see it.
