In my opinion those coins could never be confused with US coins.

Probably not Craig but this is the same public that thinks there really IS gold in the Presidential coins.

We get people in constantly wanting to sell them to us at work. I've even had people ask me to weigh them so they'll know it's value in gold.
We have a new policy when they want to sell them. We tell them spend them or we'll give them 80 cents each.

I dont think the public was ever in danger of these counterfeit coins replacing US money. I happen the Feds didnt like Von NotHaus' arrogance. Imagine them posting on the Mint's website that Caesar's Palace's silver tokens are not endorsed or recognized as legal tender.
