Conservative me working for a very liberal company absolutely belies the point of your premise and prejudice. And for a third time, what does liberal or conservative have to do with your job review/continued employment? Let's see how deftfully you can avoid answering this time.
If you couldn't figure out what the liberal vs. conservative connection was and the thread, in your interpretation, didn't make any sense, why did you bother posting at all? Remember, it is an option, not an obligation to post a response. I ignore plenty of your silly threads because frankly, they are a waste of my time. Feel free to reciprocate. No really, feel free. That is unless you have a Superhero complex or something.
I guess some of it might also depend upon the job one does. If it is a file clerk or an ad designer or an accountant or a even a teacher, I guess it doesn't matter a lot if they are on time or call in sick. In general, the files will get filed tomorrow or in the afternoon. The numbers will get crunched then too as long as their isn't an immediate deadline, etc. A substitute will handle the class for the day and keep them from eating paste. Whatever the case may be. My experience is in maintenance and hospital equipment and environments. If something critical goes down and there isn't someone there to fix it, it doesn't get fixed which can have a direct impact on whether a patient receives care or not, gets a test result or not, etc. Sometime very important care. Often, it can't wait until later. Or tomorrow or even after 9am. I think the same would probably apply to firemen, policemen, doctors, etc. You can have a wonderful outside the box creative person but if they aren't there, the job that needs to be done right this second, doesn't get done.
I say fire Alan. He is probably responsible enough that he has some savings built up for hard times. He’s probably was raised to work hard and not expect or want a handout….much more likely to look for and find a better job where he doesn’t have to take up the slack for his lazy liberal co-worker. If John was fired he would go straight to the unemployment line and draw all he could for as long as he could. He probably has no money saved as he spends his money on expensive organic foods, CF light bulbs, electric cars and declawed gerbils.
You probably never will be able to make any sense of me. I am the epitome of your prejudices. I am southern educated (or at least you think so), I am conservative (I admit to this one), and you don't think I progressed as far in school as you (I will let you wonder). On top of that, you admit to ignoring my posts. Poor hamman88. It will be a while before he can meet even one of your ideals.
Ahhh! The inevitable retreat into sarcasm. I said that I ignore plenty of your threads but in all fairness, I read and choose not to comment on many of your posts too. You might think I hate conservatives. That is completely a false idea on your part. My neighbors are very conservative people and I adore them. They are good folks and wonderful neighbors. I have other neighbors that are very liberal and they are also wonderful people. I find that this forum attracts small negative minds and extreme Right Wing fringers that, if they behaved in public like they behave in this forum, wouldn't be liked by anyone conservative or liberal. I have to think that much of what is said here is just bellicose rhetoric and indicative of the schoolyard mentality that many of you wouldn’t dare to express in public. So I have to take what you and others say with a large grain of salt and dismiss most of it as disingenuousness if not outright foolishness. I just can't take it seriously.
Funny! I really don't know much about either of their financial situations but John does own a home and Alan rents. That's about all I know.
Both are professionals and neither of them is dependent on the other to show up at work. They do separate jobs but share an office space and work for the same supervisor. There are no emergencies associated with their jobs. They earn 1 sick day a month and 2 vacation days a month. John is continually over his sick time limit while Alan has plenty of both vacation days and sick days saved up. To be fair, John does have a medical condition as does his mother that he takes care of.
I was not being one bit sarcastic. I am using your words. If you don't like them, don't say them. I never used the word hate. That is your word, not mine. If you are trying to say that you are not prejudiced against conservatives, please explain this line "I don't listen to anyone on the Right." Please explain why you feel it necessary to explain how much you adore your conservative neighbors. BTW, I think he is trying to say the all of us conservatives have "small negative minds". However, that is not quite the way it was written.
Does he work for salary (for free), or does he have executive membership at the local country club? It matters whether they are a taker or a giver.
You're the one with the lifetime subscription to "Guns and Ammo" and the double wide with the lawn chair nailed to the side! Hey man...the only people that make any sense to you all wear camaflouge and get woodies over tree stands.
Hahaha, I've not ever going to let on to the conservative/southern ideals I have going in my dorm right now. You would have wayyyy to much fun with that.
