There is a Google commercial that is exploding on TV, Internet, etc. Something like”Year in Search, Can I change”. One segment that I found is putting the idea that women are being suppressed is the one where a women is taking a tourist space launch - that does not leave our atmosphere by the way, hence forth, not in outer space or considered an astronaut - “I want other women and women of color to know that it is possible” she says as if she was the first or a pioneer astronaut. Why does this peeve me off. For it ignores, it buries facts with misinformation. Women have been in Space since 1963.
The first female astronaut that we know who survived was Valentina Treshkova- Soviet Union 1963. Maybe someone should Google that. Over 60 years ago. The first women Astronaut to be in space two times was from Russia and that was Savistskaya in 1982 and 1984. Maybe someone should Google that.
Sally Ride was the first female American Astronaut in 1983. Add should say Google that. Mae Jemison was the first Afro American Astronaut in 1992. Gee. That is a person of color and is around 30 years or so before the bogus segment. Google that.
We have had female Jewish Astronauts. We have had female Japanese American Astronauts. We have had female American Astronauts who were born in India. We have had Hispanic female Astronauts. The list is actually long. But the Google add ignored all this as well as the recent female Astronaut that did a space walk. With the premise that going to space is new for women and the example they show was not even into outer space.
For a change, you are 100% correct about that! However, you must be conflicted. By "gawd" I suspect you are referring to GOD yet you insist God does not exist. It's lucky for you that he does and he cares about you. Otherwise, under different circumstances, you would not be drawing a breath.
