A federal judge on Thursday dismissed former CIA operative Valerie Plame's lawsuit against members of the Bush administration in the CIA leak scandal.

Plame, the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, had accused Vice President Dick Cheney and others of conspiring to leak her identity in 2003. Plame said that violated her privacy rights and was illegal retribution for her husband's criticism of the administration.

U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments. Bates dismissed the case against all defendants.

The federal judges know that to cross the Bush administration means the end of the career.

The lawsuit looked like a dead end however. There are no "good guys" in Washington DC.

Justice prevails, to think that she was a CIA operative? Bladerdash, her old man was probably a Clinton appointee and she was on the no work payroll.

According to the record, which we probably shouldn't know but now do because of the Bush admin leaks, Plame worked as an agent for a company called Brewster-Jennings, which was a CIA front company. By outing Plame, whether or not she was still an agent, Bush outed Brewster-Jennings; and all of the foreign nationals who were passing info to the CIA by working with the company were exposed. We'll probably never know the damage caused by this, who was killed, etc. But to pretend that actions have no consequences is pretty naive. I know you're trying to be a good republican soldier by supporting your guy in the White House, but don't put that above the good of the nation, or human life.

Cloudsweeper, I saw her picture and she is beautiful. Not the best way to keep a low profile.

You know, in the real world people come in all varieties. Plame wouldn't even be the best looking woman in the office I work at. I think you have a twisted view of the world if you believe that agents somehow have to be plain looking or ugly, or that somehow being presentable disqualifies anyone.

Like the beginning of a thought with no end, no reason, no logic, no explanation. Which part is, Ahem, "Pure Hyperbole" and why? Dismissing something out of hand while not explaining why, makes a person look kind of stupid and this case partisan stupid.

I figured out this country's major problem. We have a very large politically influential state that has some of the lowest public school test scores in the nation. There are plenty of wealthy people and therefore plenty of influence and none of them are learning to think critically about anything. We are really doing the rest of the country a great disservice by ignoring the educational standards of Texas. As proof I offer George W. Bush and of course ^^^^.

this is an insult and very offensive to a great nember of people. Both from Texas and elsewhere who know the truth behind your insults. I wish you would stop and think once in awhile before posting such as that above statement.
    You sure listen well!

Every once in a great while I go back and pull up all of your posts and see what you've been up to. Lately, you seem to have been perched high atop your soapbox with nonstop lectures on how others, especially me should behave here. I guess you feel that you are an exception to your advice since I see you recently posted this little jewel in response to something I posted in another thread and obviously wasn't even talking to you.

Perhaps you should climb on down from your soapbox before you hurt yourself old one. 5-4-3-2-1- *gone again*[IMG]

Pay it no bother OldDan, as a former MENSA member (College Days; IQ 137) I simply consider the source. Even the village idiot can be educated but one must be able to apply knowledge to make it pay-off...
