The real question is, where was Chef Gordon Ramsey?

Seriously, the typical restaurant needs happy workers, reasonable prices, and quality food to thrive. The restaurant didn't have any of that.

Like the patrons said, it used to be a good place but went down the tubes. Of course, that is now Obama's fault.

Also, you can't "cross examine" a source you presented, only the opposition can "cross examine," it.

I heard from a guy who heard from a guy who sat on a plane near a guy who knows the sister of a guy who had sex with a waitress from the restaurant in question, and he told me that it was all Obama's fault.

I said something contrary to his mantra. That is what happens to people who can only see their partisan side.

Papa John's Obamacare Stance Costs Company Its Reputation: Study
    Posted: 12/03/2012

Turns out nobody wants a side of politics with their pizza.

The opinion of Papa John's among recent casual diners dropped precipitously after CEO John Schnatter's public comments about Obamacare, according to a new study from YouGov BrandIndex, which researches brand perception for marketing directors, brand managers and PR reps. The site conducts thousands of interviews a day, providing real-time info that shows trends and responses to different marketing techniques or in this case, public gaffes.

The national pizza chain's YouGov BrandIndex Buzz score -- which the site uses as an indication of brand favorability -- dropped to four at the end of November, down from 32 on election day.

YouGov tracked the public's perception of three restaurants following anti-Obamacare comments made by company CEOs. Papa John's, Applebee's and Denny's all saw declines among adults who have eaten at casual dining restaurants in the past month. Denny's score even fell to zero after franchise owner John Metz announced a five percent 'Obamacare surcharge' in November. The brand's score jumped up to a six shortly afterwards "potentially due to CEO John Miller's apologetic statement a few days later," according to the YouGov report.

Applebee's score dropped more than 25 points after Zane Tankel -- who owns 40 Applebee's in the New York area -- appeared on the Fox Business Network and expressed reluctance to expand because of the health care overhaul.

Darden Restaurants Says It Won't Bump Full-Time Workers To Part-Time Status After Negative Publicity

NEW YORK — The owner of Olive Garden and Red Lobster says it won't bump any full-time workers down to part-time status, after its tests aimed at limiting health care costs resulted in a publicity backlash that took a bite out of sales.

At the same time, Darden Restaurants Inc. isn't ruling out relying more heavily on part-timers over the long haul.

The company, based in Orlando, Fla., is set to announce Thursday that none of its current full-time employees will have their status changed as a result of the new regulations. The move will come just two days after the company lowered its profit outlook for the year, citing failed promotions and negative publicity from its tests that used more part-time employees. The tests were aimed at keeping down costs tied to new health care regulations, which will require large companies to provide insurance to full-time workers starting in 2014.

After Darden's tests were reported in October, the company received a flood of feedback from customers through its website, on Facebook and in restaurants, said Bob McAdam, who heads government affairs and community relations for Darden. Additionally, he said that internal surveys showed both employee and customer satisfaction declined at restaurants where the tests were in place.

"What that taught us is that our restaurants perform better when we have full-time hourly employees involved," he said.

McAdam declined to give specifics on the internal surveys but said the decline was "enough to make a decision." Beyond the first year of the regulation, however, the company said it still needs to see how costs and other factors play out to determine what its workforce will look like in following years.

For now, about 75 percent of the company's 185,000 employees are part-timers. Although that mix should hold for the time being, whether it changes in the future "will depend on how the business goes," McAdam said.

The company says its turnover rate is about 50 percent of employees a year, meaning it has significant flexibility to increase its use of part-time workers without changing the status of its current full-time workers.

Under the new health care law, companies with 50 or more workers could be hit with fines if they do not provide basic coverage for full-time workers and their dependents. Starting Jan. 1, those penalties and requirements could significantly boost labor costs for some companies, particularly in low-wage industries such as retail and hospitality where most jobs don't come with health benefits.

It looks like that's what happens when businessmen don't go along with the goose-stepping Obamacare-tax morons. Did you expect John Schnatter to just shut up and sit idly by while the taxes are piled on? I seem to remember something about a stamp tax in my history books... have you ever read that story?

I'll be doing my part in defiance of the King's tax... errr... Obama's tax tomorrow for lunch by ordering Papa John's. Go, John Schnatter!!

Even you in your partisan sty wallowing have to admit how stupid it is for any business to piss off half of the customers you need to stay in business. Any idiot can see that if you put a sign in your window that says, "No Democrats welcome" even non-Democrats would avoid your business along with ALL of the Democrats. Nobody likes their leisure activities such as dinning out or ordering food in politicized and Schnatter did exactly that. He is an idiot's idiot and is now paying the price. As if the man wasn't wealthy enough already. I think his rein is about to come to an end. I know that I'll never order another pizza from that dump. Imagine how many people feel that way. You and your Right-wing loons better start picking up the slack. Good luck!

When did speaking the truth become "politicizing"? The man said that costs are going to go up. That's true. Stop turning a blind eye to the truth.

Don't be so intentionally naive. If you don't see the political angle to these nuts including holding a fundraiser at your estate for Romney, the truth is that you are the one turning a blind eye to the truth. Maybe I was wrong...about the "intentionally" part anyway.

You sort of completely and totally avoided the part of my post that pointed out how stupid it is for any business to piss off half the country. Is that an admission that I'm right by omission? Sure seems that way.
