Obama’s approval rating in California takes a hit September 14, 2011 Even as his poll numbers have fallen nationally, President Obama has always been able to count on support from reliably Democratic California. But a new survey suggests the president might be facing troubles in the Golden State as well. A new Field Poll released Wednesday finds voters in California are statistically divided on Obama's job performance. Forty-six percent approve of Obama's overall performance as president, while 44 percent disapprove. (The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 3 points.) That's a drop of eight points since June, when Obama's job approval was 54 percent among Californians. Obama's latest job approval number in the state is the lowest of his presidency—a sign that Obama may have to work harder to consolidate support in California ahead of his 2012 re-election bid. Indeed, just under half of Californians believe Obama should be re-elected in 2012, while 44 percent believe voters should pick someone new—a slight increase since earlier this summer. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/obama-approval-rating-california-takes-hit-160004995.html
Yep, if the economy doesn't make a miraculous recovery in the next year, Obama's probably not going to have a second term. I'm sure you'll be happy to see Obama go, but I won't be lol
It's totally in his hands. As long as he keeps pretending that someday the Republicans in Congress will play ball with him and until he gives up trying to appeal to the magical mythical middle his only hope is Rick Perry.
Obama had two full years with only Democrats on the playing field. The Republicans weren't even in the game. He didn't get the economy rolling then, but our chances are better now that the Republicans are in charge of the House. If only he'd give up his socialist ideals, I think the Republicans would be willing to work with him more. I'm glad the Republicans aren't willing to back his stupid policies. I think people are really starting to wake up and realize that Obama had absolutely no leadership abilities when he was elected president and that his staunch, leftist policies were the wrong road to travel.
No, didn't did he. He's not exactly a fighter and neither are the Dems for the most part. They could easily have gotten rid of the filibuster in the Senate and stopped most of the Republican obstructionism in its tracks. But they didn't believe in their policies or their promises or in themselves enough to even try to put them through except in such a diluted form that they were hardly recognizable. The Republicans have done so well with the fear thing on so many fronts. The Dems are scared to death of them. That aside, I really don't know where your socialism stuff comes from. If Obama is a Socialist Eisenhower was a borderline Commie. And as for the Republicans fixing things, I fail to see how simply not spending any money is going to fix things but I'm willing to give it a try. Or rather let the Republicans give it a try. I don't think things will get better until they get worse. Won't be pleasant of course, but America has come through bad times before.

A quick perusal suggests to me that most of this is pure teabagger nonsense and paranoia but that's just a first impression. There's enough here to keep me busy for WEEKS! I love it. Thank you. I'll get to work on debunking some of this stuff. Or not, as the case may be. I don't have any particular axe to grind here. So who knows? I should say at the outset that I try to define people by what they do and how they act. Nothing I've seen Obama do or support so far indicates that he is any more of a Socialist than Richard Nixon. But the journey into your website hasn't begun yet and my thinking might change.
Good luck Good luck and good reading. Approach the topic with a non-partisan attitude and a non-prejudiced perspective and I think you may be enlightened. Or not. It's your judgment. I would rather present the facts and let you sort through them in order to form your opinion than try to cram my perspective down your throat. Knowledge is the key to understanding and the more you read, the more understanding you'll have. Don't just read what the articles have to say. Pick out some of the people they reference and investigate on your own. You may be very surprised as to what you find.
... and it just keeps getting worse: http://news.yahoo.com/poll-obama-disapproval-soars-54-percent-va-103525059.html
Just wanted you to know I'm working on it. And by necessity I am focusing on the people the sources reference, since so much of what I've seen so far has been guilt by association real or perceived. What I'm finding is also a pretty broad definition of what it means to be a Socialist. LBJ? Were you the one who said somewhere on this board that all Democrats were Socialist? It could have been someone else, but if that's the case then in one sense this undertaking is a waste of time. On the other hand, it has been interesting. I had no idea there were so many ex radical hippies out there, and so many organizations I've not heard of before. Not to mention so many "Socialists", which designation would appear on some sites to apply to anyone to the left of Boehner. At any rate I've just scratched the surface and I will continue to soldier away.
I'm happy to see you're investigating. I think you'll be shocked as to what you may find. Yes, I said that all democrats are socialists. It was a bit tongue-in-cheek, but I'm not fond of the far left mentality, so give me some leeway on that one. Read more about "Social Justice" and its goal of monetary and property redistribution along with its adherents, the Green Party and Liberation Theology. Also, check out Service Employees International Union (SEIU) - a union which was very instrumental in electing Obama - and, for fun, their Social Justice Calendar. Keep in mind that unions (basically a microcosm of socialism) are a very serious, strong tool of the Democratic Party and, in SEIU's case, have used ballot rigging and intimidation to rig votes. Not a nice organization. Yes, there are many extremely radical left-wing groups out there from the 60's who are still alive and well today! In fact, some of them have ties to our current president. Investigate Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), the Weather Underground Organization (WUO) and Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn.
... and even more worse: Chicago Tribune Editor Suggests Obama Step Aside http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=46294
I have a suspicion that there would be a collective sigh of relief in the Democratic Party if he did choose not to run. But, he won't choose that and he will lose.
There are rumblings that Hilary Clinton is secretly assessing her chances at a challenge of BO. Slick Willie is leading the way with help from Colin Powell.
I think we should go with the latest flavor of the month on the Right. Who is now, Bachmann, Perry, Romney, Paul, Gingrich? I'm soooooo confused!!!!! View attachment 257 I'm going to just keep using this guy because he expresses every emotion I have.
With all due respect David for you follow politcs better then I by a landslide, but I do not think the dems will have any serious challenges against Obama for that may be taken that they went against a black man and lose not only the glory of having the first black president, only a shame he is not a true american, but also may lose the black turnout vote in the following elections. If anything will they ask Hillary to be VP to get some sort of excitement going.
Perry, Romney and Gingrich could all lose to Obama. I do not think they are what independents, old reagan democrats would want and republican types like me think they are part of the problem.
All you have to do is gage how popular the candidate is with the Tea Party folks and that is directly inverse to their chances of winning in the general election. Bachmann, unelectable....Perry, unelectable, ......Romney, a shot in the dark because the TP hates him. View attachment 258 I HATE ROMNEY!!!!!!
