Unimportant distraction by Trump, but man, can we admit at least Washington's team name was pretty unabashedly racist?
Not any more racist than an Indian head cent, a buffalo nickel or Tonto for that matter. This "racist" mentality was created by the left during Obama's term specifically to create division and unrest where there was none previously and then was taken to an absurd level during the Biden term. This "created" racial divide has been more damaging than even the democrats efforts to divide us in previous decades..... Now what is done is done and I rather think POTUS should just let it ride, however calling the team name racist is the pot calling the kettle black from where I stand. And I do have some skin in this game.
I don’t agree with your contention but, of course, you can get all extreme liberals to back you in your unfounded claim, if not American Indians.
I, too, have skin in the game. Redskin, as it were. It's not offensive and never has been. Some people simply don't know what they're talking about. See: @GeneWright
I find it no less than curious coincidence that my mother, a flower child by my definition, has always clung to the fanciful notion that she is part American Indian despite neither my brother or myself having an iota of Native American in our DNA. I think the hippie in her aspires to live closer to Mother Nature . . . I do too, but I don’t deceive myself and others to get there.
Pretty sure he's just doing whatever he can not to talk about Epstein. @toughcoins, this is a perfect example of the flood the zone strategy in action. People bit on this one, so now he's doubling down
Pretty sure you are wrong. Trump didn’t start this recent dive back into the issue of the Redskin’s name. It was a former Redskins player, Jason Buck, who happens to be a Native American. Flooding the zone? It’s just another piece of legitimate news, unlike so many contrivances of the Democrat Party.
Well which is it? Racism or diversion? I could but I to the diversion scenario. But racism? That is wholly owned by the left.
Fully both. It's not mutually exclusive. In fact, better to say something patently absurd and offensive to create diversion.
Oh yeah, a team name is real important stuff. Definitely something the president should be holding them hostage over changing. Free speech anyone? Small government? So, anyway, about Trump's relationship to Epstein.
I thought the left LOVES diversity. Maybe the leftist just don’t want to talk about the budget surplus of 27 billion in June, or maybe the release of the Obama cabinet lies on Russian interference. No, the leftist media and the low intellect leftists are focused on Epstein, some low life CEO caught on a kissing camera cheating on his wife, or better yet… The false narrative about the Redskins!
Certainly more important than liberally planted fake news like Russian Collusion and a contrived Biden laptop. As for Trump’s “relationship” to Epstein, I rather doubt it’s nearly as entangled as you wish everyone thought. You and Faux Nation are definitely cut from the same cloth.
Well then change the name of Minnesota. The letter “M” is too masculine and offensive. And while you are at it change the name of Lady Liberty to Gender Neutral Liberty….. Don’t you see the absurdity of the path this goes down? If you want to debate whether this is Trump misdirection, I believe you may have a valid point…. However, if you want to debate racial efficacy, that finger points hard left all day long.
Oh this thread's got it all! I'm not really interested in talking about the politics of the NFL, it's just distraction
