It said there was frustratuon she didn't give an answer. I can't say if she refused to, but she certainly didn't after being notified.

Ah gotcha. In regards to that article, flood maps were also changed twice later in 2019 and 2020. It also appears that it was a solicitation by the camp to get them changed (possibly to make insuring the camp less expensive).

 

What’s all this hullabaloo about phone calls? I personally helped with hurricane disaster assistance simply because the mountains of North Carolina received no assistance from Biden’s FEMA. Remember? FEMA was far too financially strapped at the time to help Americans.

Not at all. I have long said the Fed needs to be managed like I manage. Each and every worker earns his keep. For years the Fed has staffed for no other reason than to manipulate employment numbers….. Last year I needed to go to the SSA office and it consumed half a day needlessly. The Fed doesn't need volume hires. It needs quality hires.

 

How are they gonna do that with decreased funding.

 

Easy . . . Drop the DEI hiring quotas.

 

Even if I buy that, the workers they're getting rid of now are the longstanding veterans. They cut employees primarily through early retirement offers, thus losing years of experience and institutional knowledge.

 

Not all veterans are productive workers. Some sit around pretending to work while doing other things . . . One of those used to frequent this site a lot during his workday until he was called out about that.

Now that he’s not spending his workday here anymore, I sincerely hope that’s a sign he’s changed his ways, and remains gainfully employed.

I've never doubted that fact. What I do doubt is the implication that the delay in restoration of those contracts was anything but accidental.

 

Well, accidents happen when you hire loyalists and sycophants instead of qualified people. Actually, it's a feature of authoritarian regimes to hire loyalists over competent people. The less qualified they are to do their job, the more they rely on you, thus growing their loyalty. Though admittedly she's somehow more qualified than most of the cabinet.

 

Interesting comment, particularly as relates to the last administration. The Democrat Party installed Biden behind the wheel and Harris in the passenger seat, and then stuffed all of the behind-the-stage stooges in the back seat.

Kinda, but I do think this administration is laughably worse. How many tv show and internet personalities do you really think should fill top positions?

However, I'd agree the slide towards authoritarianism we've been experiencing is far from one sided. It's just much stupider and more obvious with Trump.

 

We have been so void of true leadership in this nation for so long that I am sure it does appear to be authoritarian to you at this point.

 

I didn't actually think there was anything in particular about Trump in the Epstein files, but the way he's protesting makes me definitely think there's something bad in there.

The other day he said totally out of pocket that the files were written by Obama, Biden, and Hillary... which, is a weird conspiracy nobody had tried before. He said street that that they were "boring" and "nobody cares" about the files, but now he appears to be doubling down on the conspiracy angle.

Both sides want the files released (or at least did until Trump's recent about face). Very weird and defensive behavior.

 

I too find this to be an unusual twist. Personally I have no more concern over the Epstein files than I did Monica Lewinsky’s dress….. It has no bearing on the pressing matters we have to address….. But this sure seems to be an odd departure from the previous rhetoric.

 

A (hopefully) logical observation:
If the supposed "list" did exist...in any form in any document in the possession of any Government of any capacity - local/State/Federal or International-or any Media , and regardless of what supposed names are involved is the opinion/belief that all such sources would suppress such information and not use same in a nefarious or vindictive or self-serving manner, regardless of any business or political affiliation or ideology or personal benefit?

If so, it would be the first occasion in recorded world history for unanimous ascent to not throw rocks at the proverbial glass house.

Well how can you be an honest rioter with your face covered? That’s illegal isn’t it? Shouldn’t a certified rioter have to show his credentials prior to rioting? What kind of country do we live in if we are expected to identify a rioter from his man-bun?
