I would call President Trump "The Prince of Peace", but that title is already taken.

So, without a single U.S. citizen being injured or killed, President Trump sent Iran's nuclear weapon capability back to the Stone Age which is something neither Obama nor Biden accomplished (nor WANTED to accomplish). And now, he is subsequently the catalyst to a peace agreement between Israel and Iran. WOW!

I wonder if the liberals still want to impeach him over this? Good luck with that, liberals. BTW, where's that Nobel Peace Prize (President Trump has EARNED it).

Trump praises both nations' 'stamina, courage, and intelligence' in reaching historic peace deal after missile exchanges

President Donald Trump declared Israel and Iran have agreed to a ceasefire after missile exchanges, claiming the '12-day war' will end following a phased implementation over 24 hours.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!" Trump shared in a post on his social media platform Truth Social.

"Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World," Trump added.

Trump praised both countries for their "Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence" to end what he called "THE 12 DAY WAR."

"This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!" he continued.

A senior Iranian official also confirmed the ceasefire deal, according to Reuters.

A diplomat briefed on the ceasefire talks shared more details on the deal with Fox News.

"President Trump spoke with Qatar’s Emir and informed him the U.S. got Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Iran," the source shared. "The President asked Qatar to help persuade Iran to do the same, following that Vice President Vance coordinated with Qatar’s Prime Minister on the details."

The source added that "this effort proved successful and, following discussions with the Qatari PM, the Iranians agreed."

"The deal was coordinated at the highest level by the President and Vice President and the Qatari Emir and Prime Minister directly," the source continued.

"Despite having been attacked just hours earlier, the Qataris set aside their grievances and prioritized regional security to get the deal done."

The president's announcement comes after Iran launched at least six missiles toward America's Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Monday, retaliating for Trump's attack on Tehran's nuclear program this weekend.

Qatar's foreign ministry condemned the strike in a statement, saying the missiles were destroyed and there were no casualties.

"I’d like to thank the Highly Respected Emir of Qatar for all that he has done in seeking Peace for the Region," Trump wrote in an earlier Monday post.

"Regarding the attack today at the American Base in Qatar, I am pleased to report that, in addition to no Americans being killed or wounded, very importantly, there have also been no Qataris killed or wounded. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Hey, why did your story leave out that the attack in Qatar was a symbolic one? Qatar and the U.S. received advance notice they would be doing it

 

It seems Iran was not informed they agreed to any ceasefire.

 

So, in other words, if Israel initiates a ceasefire, Iran will initiate a ceasefire. Sounds like a ceasefire to me.

 

By any other name, yes. Again, we'll see how long it lasts.

 

Let's be honest here. Who can say how long it will last? The WWII ceasefire has lasted 80 years, but who knows how long it will last?

I'll be happy if this ceasefire lasts for the foreseeable future. Everyone on both sides (and across the world) are sleeping a little better tonight. And that's a damned good thing if you ask me.

 

Words are words. Actions are actions.

When they mean it, we’ll know it.

 

Speaking of sleeping better, what was the over/under on it lasting less than 1 night?

 

If I was living in a country, regardless of location, I would want to be knowledgeable of the status of any possible temporary temporary agreement or ceasefire concerning any hostilities that could be possible, before I criticize any other agreements in the world between various countries, by snidely suggesting a short duration, to satisfy my personal Righteousness concerning such matters.

Oh, that reminds me... KOREA is in a CEASEFIRE status.

What is the Over/Under on that fact, Clown?

 

Naturally, any peacemaker is going to be disappointed if the parties involved get one last “tit for tat” in.

As of now, the ceasefire is in place. That’s a good thing, right?

Is it possible you could praise President Trump for doing the right thing by seeking peace?

Is it possible the ceasefire lasts? Like I said before, “who knows”?

When two groups have been fighting LONG before you or I or anyone else on this planet have been alive and considering all the death and destruction that’s been heaped upon Israel by Iran or its proxies, it’s understandable that both sides are hesitant to lay down their arms. Let’s see what today brings.

We have a president in the White House who is seeking peace. I’d say that is cause for celebration.

 

I won't try to say what he should do. However, I very much struggle to see the long term vision here.

 

That is why you will never be able to be POTUS, or ANY position in the U.S. Armed Forces, or any civilian position that requires initiative AND responsibility.

 

You're a liberal . . . that's your core competency.

 

Crack jokes all you like, my worry is that it seems like Trump has no long term vision.

 

Of course, most people aren’t going to be privy to any president’s “long term vision” because things change dynamically each day and stating such visions COULD be counter-productive. Suffice to say, it appears that President Trump’s goals appear to be peace in the Middle East. Sure, it’s a lofty goal, but certainly one to strive for.

Sending pallets full of billions in cash to Iran and giving them the capability to build a nuclear arsenal most assuredly would NOT seem to me to be the way to achieve peace in the region.

 

You want to talk about short-sightedness?

Obama and company were myopic as all Hell, funding the expansion of Iran's nuclear capabilities by returning impounded funds, failing to act when Syria crossed the chemical weapons line in the sand, and passively stood aside for Putin's annexation of Crimea.

Bernie Lomax was worse . . . he didn't even know what was going on around him . . . but oh, he sure could smell ice cream and taste little girl's hair! . . . Yeah, he forgot how to do those things too.

 

Damn, it’s good to have a strong, pro-America president in the White House again! One who doesn’t want to fundamentally change our society or one who doesn’t want to destroy our rights as Americans (First and Second Amendments). One who not only received a mandate with an overwhelming number of popular votes, but who also won the Electoral College in a landslide.

I’m so glad we are rid of Obama, Hillary, Biden and that cackling numbskull who was un-democratically installed as a candidate.

 

Okay, but since you guys keep bringing up funding Iran, what do you think the ramifications of this move are?



Dropping secondary sanctions on Iran via China is worth many billions of dollars.

Can you imagine if Biden funded Iran by dropping sanctions on China? Admit it, you guys would be going nuts

 

It is wasted breath. The man could eat beans and fart daisies and you guys would lambast the man. That’s fine. I lived with insanity, dementia and absurdly comical administration leaders for four years and lived through it. You will make it through the next three and a half years of flag waiving and genuine leadership.
